These are a HUGE step down from the 2nd generation AirPods. The sound quality is worse because they only increased the loudness and quality of the bass and it makes the overall sound lower quality. It sounds hollow and deep, rather than the full sound of the previous generation. The earbuds themselves are an odd shape and hard to handle with a large bud but very short stem. They are much harder to handle putting in and out of the case. The controls were moved to the short stem, and are now impossible to press with only one finger, and over anything, like a hat or a hood. You need two fingers touching the stem directly, which often results in simply pulling the earbuds out when you're just trying to pause a song, or failing to trigger any action, because the area is so small, sensitive, and again requires two fingers (pointer and thumb). Conversely, because the controls are right where you need to handle the ear bud when removing them from your ear, you often trigger the button when handling the earbuds. The case is also a worse shape - being short and wide makes it very difficult to hold and open the case with one hand, especially compared to the ease of one-handed case opening of the 2nd generation. The earbuds also don't sit flush inside the case, making it even more awkward to handle. Their odd shape looks silly in the ear as well, sticking out further than before. It's 2023, and they still don't support standard Bluetooth protocols, like showing battery level when connected to non-Apple devices. I was really hoping these would simply be like the last generation but with the few shortcoming resolved, but I was wrong.

Sound great, fit great, much better overall quality than the last generation.

They work perfectly fine sound just as good. Only issue I have with them is my ears hurt after having them in my ears longer then a period of time.

I love these! They are crystal clear and doesn’t fall out my ear like the long ones did.

Large ear buds for ear canal. Don't fit well. No exchangeable tips for proper fit. Sounds great once you get them in your ears.

Works perfectly with my I-phone and easily stored in its charging case. I use them for my daily walk,leaving traffic noises behind.

So far the AirPods are working great it’s was a Christmas gift the kids loved it wear it everyday
