I am able to control my phone a lot better with these headphones than any of the previous generations. Phone calls are easier to pick up or drop, changing a song, etc. only thing is, they are a little bigger than my second generation ones so after a few hours my ears hurt a little.

Despite these improvements, the open-ear design may still feel less secure compared to in-ear models with silicone tips.
