Being able to completely shut out outside noise and focus on your music, book, or choice of media is priceless. I would recommend these for clarity, price, and ease of use. If you need me, tap me, I’m turning my noise cancellation back on.

Sound quality is nice, noise canceling works in most situations, and they are fairly comfortable. My main concerns are occasional spurious noises (Bluetooth) and they fall out of my ears easier than I expected.

I was iffy on paying the extra money for the noise cancellation feature because I was convinced Airpods are noise-blocking enough without it. I am so happy I decided to go ahead with this version instead because when I don't want to hear ANYTHING, I don't have to hear ANYTHING. So, it is worth the additional cost.
