I have way too many headphones/earbuds in my home. My wife says that I have a problem, and she's probably right. My first reaction when I saw Apple introduce these headphones was; I can't wait to try them out. I've been using their AirPods, and AirPods Pro since release so I had high expectations for them. Then, they announced the price, I had to pause. I really didn't think I was going to end up purchasing them. I do own a few headphones around the $400 mark, but the Max's price seemed a bit too high for something unproven. Fast forward a few months, and I finally had the opportunity to purchase these headphones. My curiosity won out and I took the plunge. They finally had the Sky Blue color I was looking for, and I placed the order. I have zero regrets purchasing them, and they have become my default, goto headphones. Sound quality is unmatched. There are other headphones that come close. Sony and Bose have some great headphones that cost a couple of hundred less that have great sound. Those headphones get very close to the sound quality of the Max, but the Max wins out by a bit. The Max have great, great separation, and some amazing bass. Regardless of what type of genres you listen to, you will find some nuances to your music that you probably haven't noticed before. Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode are also both amazing. The noise cancellation does a great job of muting the world around you for the most part. It struggles with some low frequencies from my experience but easily drowns out most noise. I've yet to hear a better 'transparency' mode from any other manufacturer. Transparency mode on the entire AirPods line up is unmatched. It sounds natural and not robotic/amplified. I have heard others complain about weight being an issue. The Max are noticeably heavier than most of the other wireless headphones. After using these for over a month, I can confidently say that I don't notice the weight at all anymore. I use the Max for hours on end for movies, music, podcasts, and calls and I don't have issues with them sliding around, or feeling pressure. They are comfortable for me. What pushes these headphones ahead of the competition for me are the Apple ecosystem features. The fact that they auto switch to whatever ever device I am using, iPhone, iPad, or MacBook, is amazing. Just like the other AirPods, once you pair it to one Apple device, iCloud connects it to every other Apple device. Access to iMessages, Siri is great. The connection is solid and once again unmatched. I can go outside, all around my home and not lose connection or hear stuttering/drop out when I leave my device in the bedroom. The cost is considerable, but if you are considering some of the slightly less expensive offerings from Sony or Bose, and you are already invested in the Apple ecosystem, I'd give these a chance. I am glad I did, and I would be hard pressed to go back to a different set of headphones.

The Apple AirPods Max are fantastic "over-the-ear" headphones. I've used Bose Noise Cancelling headphones and they are slightly more comfortable and the sound is spectacular. The block out the necessary noises on a flight and have an easy feature to turn the noise blocking to Transparent to communicate with others (if traveling with others) or flight attendants. I have a pair of the AirPods Pro and I prefer the Max, as the Pro's tend to come out of my ears when worn for longer periods. All-In-All... If you have the extra cash to spoil yourself, I highly recommend this fantastic product by Apple.

Quality is amazing.. Doesn’t give you headaches or anything & covers the ear perfectly.. sometimes difficult to stay on if you’re running or working out but barely. The best headphones & worth every dollar

I absolutely love these! The color is fantastic, the noise cancelling is superb and the battery lasts for so long. As a college student, I use these for lectures a ton even in the busiest areas with lots of noise but it's like I'm in the classroom with the professor right there thanks to the noise cancelling.

These headphones are so light and comfortable that you don't realize you are wearing them. Great sound too.

Honestly better than I thought. I’ve had Beats Studio headphones, I’ve had bose quiet headphones, and I just recently got these. Each have their own perks, and these connect seamlessly to my devices and sound amazing. I cook and clean with these a lot and forget they’re on my head lol. I do not wear these to the gym or go running with them because of how they’re made. I don’t want to ruin the fabric on top or around the ears. I use Beats Studio for all strength training and running. I also love the look of these. Some hate the look but I genuinely think they’re gorgeous! I’m not an audiophile, but they sound great. Again, each pair has their own perks, beats sound fuller (with bass), Bose sound crisper (I can hear ever detail in Bose), these still sound great and are more comfortable imo. If you have the funds, I’d say these are a great choice. If you want the best headphone for sound, maybe do some research or go into the store to hear for yourself.

These sound so amazing! They work so well for when you want to isolate all external noise. I use them when I study or need to focus on a project at work. Sound quality is excellent and of course they work perfectly between my iPhone and iPad. Only negative thing is for the price I wish the case was a little more protective. Recommend them to everyone.

Although the sound cancellation is great I think the headphones are over rated.Not as loud as I expected Plus my hair dye got all over the ear cushion

I am highly satisfied with the Apple AirPods Max’s. From the sound clarity, noise cancellation, & wholesome sound, the convenience of auto-switching between all Apple devices. Additionally, the aesthetic appeal of the AirPods Max look and great. I am enjoying the listening experience and it has completed my Apple ecosystem. I should of purchased a long time ago.

Excellent sound quality fits tight and snug around the ear.

Love the looks, fit and especially the sound! I regret not buying these a long time ago.
