Great with Dolby!

If I wear them too long, my ear might start to hurt, but that might be because I didn't put them on quite right.

Not for Audiophiles. Only for Apple Lovers

I bought this just because the pairing speed with other apple devices is incredibly fast. I bought them primarily because they're part of the Apple ecosystem, not necessarily for the sound quality. I also carry a pair of Sony XM4 headphones as a secondary option. Compared to the XM4, the bass quality on the AirPods Max is not as impressive.

Premium headphones but no headphone is worth $550.

They are really good especially with spatial audio turned on, but I wouldn't pay $550 for them. I got mine with the $70 discount and I still think they can be about another $50 cheaper. The best thing about these headphones is using them with Apple products and not having to pair them every time you use them. I haven't compared the audio with any other headphones, and the only other premium headphones I've owned were Beats Studios, which I'm sure the Airpod Max sound way better than. Other than that, no premium headphones are worth unless you have a lot of really good music you like.
