These are by far my favorite headphones! I love the noise cancellation feature. They feel so comfortable on my ears.

I absolutely love these headphones! They’re comfortable but I just wanted them for noise cancellation and they do just that! They fit right and don’t hurt if I wear them for hours. Truly worth every penny!

Not an audiophile review, but a casual listener review. Sound is great. It connects really easily between iphone and ipad. I havent tried connecting it to Apple TV but I read that should work as well. Noise-cancelling is great also. Also bought a pair for a friend who loves them for working out with.

These headphones are by far the best I’ve used. The noise canceling feature is absolutely necessary when sleeping with a heavy snorer. It’s downright marriage saving! Love the sound quality, and the comfortable fit!

Great sound and noise cancellation with a sleek design.

The sound is amazing. The fit is perfectly perfecy. I like the materials for the ear prevents overheating but im a little skeptical about the longevity may tear in my opinion. Also the head set when off the ear does not fit around my neck for breaks i.e. airport break. The headset clacks together causing scuffs and scratches. I have the blue so it makes white scratches when the hjt each other. I like them over the beats just due to the way they engulf your ears. They also do not turn off you have to place them in the case that comes with the to turn them off.

Solid construction with a good sound to them. A little on the heavy side, so not ideal for working out or running. That's not a complaint so much as a fact. All that mass moving around on your skull means you're correcting its position often. Sound-wise, there's probably better in this price range, but in terms of build quality, you'd have to spend more.

Great sound quality and easy to wear for an extended time. I work from home and these are great for cancelling out the barking dogs or yard work during calls. Also love that they feel light wait for walking and listening to my podcasts. Love the ability to listen to my music in the background while on meetings as well.

Very good fit, sound quality is better than beats, and great for active people. I use them in the gym everyday and never have a problem with slipping or disconnecting.

I also have the SONY XM4 but after reading all the good review of these I decided to bite the bullet and give these a try. $600 is not a small amount to swallow for a pair of headphones. I'm not an audiophile, but definitely someone who appreciates good sounding music. After receiving these, I immediately compared them with the XM4 back and forth with the same songs from Apple Music. Here is what I found: (1) the sound: the AirPods Max definitely sound better, but not by a whole lot. They have slightly better instrument separation. The highs are more crisp (I thought the XM4 was already very good in this regard but the AirPods Max are just even better). XM4's bass is a bit deeper but the AirPods Max's is still good and I'd say even a bit less muddy than the SONY's. I guess each to their own. Overall, every time I put on the AirPods Max for the same song, the song alway sounds just a slightly clearer and more pleasant for my taste. (2) the comfort: Sony wins this one hands down. Although I didn't feel much about the extra weight, there's definitely that clamping feeling on my head with the AirPods Max. Every time when I switched back to the XM4, my head immediately felt relieved. However, I also found that I was able to get used to the AirPods Max and wore them for hours without issues. (3) the Transparency mode: Apple definitely wins this one, and, to my surprise, this has become the main reason I'm keeping these. The Max's transparency mode is just so much better than the XM4's. I found myself sounding a lot more natural and even have a bit heightened sense of hearing with the Max's transparency mode on. The Sony's sounds just too robotic to me. I also like the simplicity of activating this feature by just a push of a button on the Max. (4) the Hand-off feature: I have an iPhone, an iPad and a Mac Mini. The airpods just switch between them effortlessly. However, I also have these connected to my work Windows 10 PC. The auto handoff feature will stop working if they’re still connected to the PC. Just keep this in mind. (5) Build quality. Apple wins this one for sure. Overall, I’d say that the sound of these is about $50-100 better than the XM4's. Considering the added features, much better build quality and the leather carrying case (which I hate btw), I was actually surprised that the $550 asking price actually seems to be reasonable to me now since the SONY’s MSRP is $350. Sure, it sucks these headphones don’t have an on-off button and won’t turn themselves off until you put them in the ugly case. But, on the other hand, they easily last about 3 days of use in my case. I think if I can charge my phone every day then I can certainly charge these once every 3 days. To be honest, I was going to return them after first wearing them and feeling the clamping effect on the first day. But after a couple of more days of extensive use, I’ve decided to keep them around because I think they're worth it.

Battery life is great, and the noise cancellation function is incredible. I love that you can go from hearing absolutely nothing from the outside world to having a full conversation with the click of a button.
