Got to be honest its great being able to block out a noisy household. 2nd love my late night movies but the wife and kids not so much.... this solves the problem with Spatialized Surround sound which is fantastic .

I do not enjoy these for working out/running, they are bulky, they fall, and they are super loud when running.

I have the Sony Xm5 as well and its little more bass, where the Apple has more clarity. You would be happy with either but for the Apple loyalist these are prefect. Find some online video reviews and understnad some of the complaints before you buy. The issues where minor for me and I've looked pass it to enjoy them.

Noise cancellation is less effective than that of iPod pro 2. I compared the two during the flight. Recommend iPod pro 2.
