Self proclaimed Audiophile Review.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I consider myself an Audiophile and yes these are expensive; but they are different from all other AirPods. I’m writing this review after having them for 2 hrs. The audio quality blows away other AirPods including the AirPods Pro. Beats are garbage in the high end headphones market. so it’s not even a comparison (I’m sure I’ll get some backlash for that. Lol.) I’ve owned Bose, Sennheiser, klipsch, I’ve also owned a pair of wired Denon ($1100 for the Denon), pretty much every generation and model of AirPods and these are easily at the top for a high end wireless headphone The Bass is well pronounced and clean, maybe a little high on the treble. All frequencies lows, mids, and highs, are distinguishable and very clean. absolutely no distortion even at full volume The ANC is second to none. There isn’t a headphone that has better ANC than the Airpod Max. Just for some perspective “Bose” have military grade noise cancellation in their QC models. Before these Bose was the leader in the ANC Market. NOT ANYMORE If you can afford the AirPods Max I strongly recommend them. Well worth the price tag.

overpriced but high quality of build and sound
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really did not want to like these over the ear headphones. I had managed to refrain for over two years from buying them, but sometimes the ghost of Steve Jobs pulls a Whoopi Goldberg, takes over my body and buys anything from the stupid Apple company. I will be the first to say I think their pricing is absolutely ridiculous on about 30 to 40% of their items ... this being one of them, but I love them, i absolutely loved my overpriced headphones and if a majority of your electronics are Apple (you know iPhone, ipad /pro, MacBook , MacBook Pro , you basically are forced to buy all apple devices as it is so refreshing and reassuring with how seamlessly the products interact with each other . seamlessly connecting and i very rarely Have any problems with them?

Best Headphones for an Apple User
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All I can say is WOW!!! For a 1st generation, Apple pretty much hit this out of the park. If the price point was $400-$450, this would have easily gotten a 5 Star. There are a few cons that I want to point out on these. Price is the biggest con with these. I cannot justify paying $550 + Tax for a pair of headphones for a typical non audiophile user. As a normal consumer, $400 is pushing the upper limits for a pair of headphones, but because this is Apple, they priced these higher than normal because they can actually get away with it. The other cons are the case and not having a 3.5mm adapter if you want to plug it into an airplane or computer. First off, both of these are not deal breakers for me, it would have been nice for them to include a 3.5mm jack, but being that it's Apple, they will find any way they can to squeeze consumers for every last penny. The case does what it needs to for the most part. I am concerned that the mesh part of the head band is not protected at all since that's the most vulnerable part. But, this will lead 3rd parties to come up with a protective sleeve or cover for it. The AirPods Max are heavier than the competition due to the aluminum & stainless steel material used here. Apple did not cut corners when they designed this and I am glad because they do not look or feel cheap at all. Starting to see why they charged $550. They look classy in a throwback kind of way. The ear cups and head band don't protrude out and pretty much follows the curvature of your head. Despite it being heavier, the mesh band does a great job at spreading the weight out as to not develop any pain at the crown of my head. The clamping design on the ear cups will bear most of the weight. The ear cushions are nice and soft and I did not feel my ears getting hot or sticky like the leatherette ear cups on the competitions. Even though I didn't feel any pain on the crown after hours of usage, I did notice that my neck was a little sore. If that's the case, you can just lie down or lean your head back on to a pillow or something. As for the sound, these are the best sounding headphones I have owned. My go to prior to this was the B&W PX7's. I really like the sound on these because it was balanced and clean without too much bass to muddy up the sound. The Sony XM4's would be great if they were the only headphones on earth, but they are not and I am not too much of a fan of their sound signature. I feel they are a little too warm and bass heavy that muddies up the mid's and highs for me. They too also got hot after wearing for a while. The AirPods Max are well balanced with just the enough bass to give the song a little life. Although, I did wish there was a little bit more sub-bass for the rumble effect. But all in all, the sound on these are so clean and does not distort even at max level. The sound separation are so great that I am able to hear more instruments on these than any other headphones I've tried. If you have an iPhone, you can go in and change the settings around to boost the soft sounds. You can do this by going into Settings/Accessories/Audio/Visual/Headphone Accommodations. I have my set at Balanced Tone and Moderate. If you have the money to spend and in the Apple eco-system, these will be the best money spent for your ears. Just keep in mind that out of the box, they might not sound great, but after some burn in time, you will start to appreciate what Apple has done with these.

A Honest Maybe Slightly Bias Review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Im an ex-Apple employee, and not to sound like im an obsessed Apple Fan, but these headphones are definitely worth it, just make sure you can find it at a discount 'cause everyone knows Apple has never has heard of a discount before. They're soft, and easy to pair with an iPhone, I think it's really cool that you can take out the mesh cups, because honestly other companies dont really consider it. Now I cant really get into the specifics about the quality of music or sound because im not an audiophile. Im not going to say theyre the best thing my ears has ever heard because I simply dont know, but if you are looking to build your apple ecosystem, then these headphones are really amazing to have, especially on the plane, walking in the city, on public transit, or even just cleaning your house. The transparency mode and noise-cancellation work really well. and all the controls are simple to understand in like 5 minutes.

AirPods Max
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple AirPods Max deliver exceptional sound quality, effective noise cancellation, and seamless integration with Apple devices in a sleek, premium design. With features like spatial audio and Transparency Mode, they offer an immersive listening experience. However, their high price, heavier build, and limited customization for non-Apple users might be drawbacks. Ideal for Apple enthusiasts seeking top-tier performance, but competitors offer better value for the price.

Sound quality
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound quality at certain volume levels is almost exactly the same. Kind of unbelievable. It is as though Apple reverse engineered the Bose 700 and copied its sound signature and noice canceling to within 5 percent. There is a definite sound quality difference though that changes with the volume level. This is all about the DSP. Of course, the digital signal processing (DSP) is called Computational Audio on the Max and Volume Optimized EQ on the Bose. This is what works differently and what accounts for sound differences dependent on the volume. Basically, the Bose sound better at 60 percent volume and below. Bose just has it dialed in so that everything sounds rich and balanced. I usually listen to music at about 55 percent volume on my iPad. So, I prefer the sound of the Bose. The sound at 60 percent and below on the AirPods Max suffers from a veiled upper midrange. An alto saxophone, for example, will sound as though it is being played behind a wooden door.

Good for music, not so much for activities.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very premium feel although they are quite heavy. I cannot bend over with them on my head because they will fall off, especially at the gym laying down and getting back up they fall off very easy. Besides them constantly falling off, they are pretty good headphones.
