The noise cancellation on these is exceptional! Overall, I love the headphones. The battery life is very good, I only charge it once a week. The connectivity to my devices is seamless, the sound quality is great, and they are sleek and easy to carry around. However, they cause bad headaches at the beginning. You would need to break them in by using them a lot or just expanding them for a couple of seconds to make them not too tight on your ears.

Best quality headphones just a little to big for my liking

Apple products are my faveorite. These are noise canceling and there is a second button offered on these if you want some background noise which I like to use as well. They automatically disconnect when you take them off which I like as well.

Great play hours, sound and comfort. Will definitely buy for gifts this coming holiday season.

My girlfriend just got them for me not to long ago and after seeing everyone’s opinion on it online. I’m glad I didn’t listen Iv had no problem with the weight of the headphones when I go to the gym. I did buy extra accessories from Amazon if I used them at the gym. They look great and sound amazing I can’t hear anything when the noise cancellation is on and I’m listening to music or watching a show. I takes me to my own world but when I need to check back into reality and someone is talking to me. The button navigation is easy to turn on transparency mode. Ignore all the negative options online if you are a fan of Apple like me. Then you are going to love these headphones.

In my opinion these have been worth every penny. I tried a Bose and Sony, which each had their perks. But the color, style, comfort and functionality of AirPods Max are the best. The transparency mode is great for work from home calls so my voice doesn’t sound muffled like with other over the ear headphones. I wear them all day and they last the full work day without discomfort. They work great with windows, iPhone, zoom and teams. Best investment in my work from home situation in a long time. Maybe not meant for a DJ or someone looking for a lot of bass and sound options.

Purchased on sale which is what finally caused me to buy and glad I did. Had no doubts on the quality; it’s an Apple product, but these feel very premium with no plastic. Sound quality is very high for iTunes tracks including Lossless, but particularly for Dolby Atmos songs which can be hit or miss, but come with a wider soundstage. These will not work with Hi-Res audio tracks, but trust that you won’t care to notice. The excellent sound is more obvious when listening to Dolby Atmos movies, so these headphones are great for home theater listening. Action movies will pop! AirPods Max are at the top of the consumer headphones space. I do think audiophiles must admit the sound is very good, but these are not for studio recording and that shouldn’t be an expectation. Sure, you can drop $1000 on some wired audiophile cans, but that’s not the market for these. These are very expensive consumer headphones for sure, but if you catch a sale, they will not disappoint.

I am absolutely thrilled with my Apple AirPods Pro Max. The quality of these headphones is simply unmatched. From the moment I took them out of the box, I could tell that they were a premium product. The build quality is fantastic, with a sturdy yet lightweight construction that feels incredibly comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. The sound quality is simply incredible. Every note and every beat is crystal clear, with a deep and immersive soundstage that truly transports you into the music. The noise cancelling is also top-notch, effectively blocking out any outside noise and allowing you to fully immerse yourself in your music or podcasts.

Are they worth 550? If you have an iPhone yes. Android or anything else, maybe not. The iPhone will give you audio editing/tuning options that you will not find elsewhere. On the iPhone make sure you are updated to the latest iOS that help the phone truly recognize the headphones, and then update the firmware of the headset itself. I consider myself an audiophile, and when I try new headphones, the sound test I put them through is fairly simple, and I play 5 key songs of different genres that I would say have “hidden sounds” or instruments that cheaper headphones would not catch. These pass the test, and surpass the Bose and Sony headsets in separating instruments, the “soundstage” effect. If you are a person who can’t tell the difference in good headphones versus others, don’t waste your time, because you won’t be able to justify the reasoning for the pricing. The comfort is amazing, and I can wear these for 4 hours plus with no discomfort. They look great, and noise cancellation is amazing on these headphones.

I had the B&W's first, their noise cancellation wasn't up to part for me, especially on NJ Transit, they kept cutting out. Also a little too bass heavy. Not being a stranger to spending money on audio equipment, I returned them and got the APMs. Initially I was a little underwhelmed by the audio quality, but I feel after a few weeks they're not perfectly "burned in". The sound quality doesn't quite reach a $200 set of wired Beyerdynamics (like a DT 770 or 990) or Sennheisers. But you can't listen to those on the road. And the APMs sound pretty friggin' good. The noise cancellation is fantastic, just unparalleled, quiet bliss. Except for car horns, which is an asset to hear when you're walking through NYC. The case is stupid, and I wish you could turn them off without the case (no power button?!) and they made my ears itch for a few weeks (seems fine now, whatever it was offgassed). Connects seamlessly with iOS devices, on the Macbook I keep having to hit the "Connect" popup when I put them on even thought it's set to auto connect (only a slight nuisance). Go figure, but I took a star off, especially for the case. Argh, I gave Apple money again :-)

Ought these pricey headphones for my daughter… was not sure why they cost so much, but wanted to please my teenager for the holiday. She extremely happy with them, especially their noise cancelation capabilities.

Sound is pretty great! I love the noise cancelling ability. Quiets everything externally down to where you can almost not hear the external noise. The sound of the audio is great too but I’m no expert on sound regarding lows, mods, and highs. I like the phone ability too but if I have an extended call, tends to drop the call. I will update my review if this is something else than a dropped call. Shorter calls didn’t seem to be a problem. I do wear these while sleeping if outside noise is distracting. This is where the noise cancellation is at its best. Not sure if this phenomenon can be avoided but the earphones cushions tend to feel warm. This is from natural body heat and no ram air while sleeping. So perhaps this will be better during colder or winter times. This is my own thing though. The only thing I am knocking it down a star is for the dropped calls. I use these about everyday. I will use these while I travel because I feel pretty confident that the noise cancellation will do it’s job. Note that I do where these for primarily the cancellation. I have a out of round tire on my car and when I am using these while driving, I don’t hear that awful whirling sound. I’m not sure if I should recommend wearing these while driving.

Perfect Mothers Day gift ever. The wife LOVES it!! Would buy another one for myself. Cuffs around the ears perfectly, noise cancellation is perfect, sound features are PERFECT. 10 out of 10 recommend.
