Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the AirPods Max's sound quality, comfort, battery life, design, color, connectivity, fit, and transparency mode. However, some customers find them to be a bit pricey, heavy, and expensive. Additionally, the case could be better quality and the volume could be louder.

Worked really well; paired easily with iPhone and other Bluetooth enabled devices. Doesn't hear the ear like smaller headphones like this which is a big plus. Highly recommend!

The noise cancellation and sound quality are great. BUT they are heavy and not super comfortable to wear. They don’t hold a very long charge. I bought these because I wanted over the ear headphones and I love my AirPod Pros. I will probably trade these in for Sony or Bose.

I love these so much! I have never had a headphone that covers my ears completely, which is so nice as a girl with piercings! The sound quality is insane, as well as the noise cancellation. Excited to use especially for traveling. They are a little heavy, but honestly I wouldn’t have thought about that until I read comments on it. I would recommend!

First the good: The sound is excellent as is the noise cancellation. In addition to noise canceling having an on/off option there’s also a transparency option which actually amplifies outside noise. That’s controlled by a well placed button on the top front of the right earpiece. The right rear has a Digital Crown like on the Apple Watch that you twist to adjust the volume or press to pause the music. Both are easy to locate and intuitive to use. The build quality is very good and solid and they are quite comfortable even for extended wearing. The ear pads are attached by magnets and are replaceable! This is great for me as every pair of over the ear headphones I’ve ever had have eventually worn out the ear pads and I end up just buying a whole new headset. The downside is that the replacements are $69 each. Which brings me to the bad: They’re expensive. Though you can usually find them for less than the $549 list price. I did, at Best Buy, plus I also got an additional $35 off since it was my birthday. These headphones are really best for people in the Apple ecosystem, especially if you want to use them wired to a device with a headphone jack. That requires an additional lightning to 3.5mm jack cable for an additional $35. That being said, I knew this all going in, bought them anyway, and I’m very happy with my purchase. Would really like to give them 4 ½ stars with the small ding for the cost

First off even with the volume at a decent level i cannot hear anything when I have the option for that on! Second the weight of them can help along with the noise cancellation if you need a moment I found these have helped way more than just having my air pods in!

All teammates were very helpful and doing their jobs very efficiently.except for a woman that was complaining of the line not moving . And started picking on the cashier that was helping a customer . I told the woman to stop its Black Friday why would you ever think you would not have to wait in a line go home and leave this cashier alone .

I have always had issues with finding overear headphones that wouldn't strain my ears after extended periods of listening. These have proven to be some of the most convenient and comfortable headphones I've ever worn. The pads are made with a breathable mesh and my ears fit into them without touching the drivers themselves. The sound is also excellent, with a good dynamic range that highlights details and provides bass without overdoing either. I have a few minor but regularly annoying issues with these headphones. Connectivity: They lack a 3.5mm headphone out, there is no USB audio to use these wired to a device, and they charge with a Lightning cable (a pro device in all but name that when paired with an iPad Pro or a MacBook, needs a separate charging cable). I have purchased the 3.5mm Apple cable and it is the flimsiest cable I have ever purchased aside from their official USB-C or Lighting audio dongles. If they had went the route of using the materials they use for their pro Thunderbolt 3 cable, I would forgive the requirement of such a cable to plug to any one of my devices that still have a headphone jack (including my MacBook). Most people do not need extremely-low latency audio (for things such as video/music production) so this will be a non-issue for them. For latency-critical work on my MacBook, it is annoying I have to use this cable which does not charge the device unlike comparable headphones that use USB-C audio which can power the headphones and bypass the internal DAC of the device they're connected to. These headphones lack a user-accessible power switch or toggle. There is a growing market of headphone stands that incorporate the magnets of the included case to put these into sleep mode, but my current headphone stand lacks these. When placed on the stand, the internal sensors detect that the headphones are "on" something, so they remain on and play audio from any Apple device I'm using. This prevents me from ditching the included (and horrible) case to use my own stand. All of these criticisms are aimed at features or characteristics that accompany a pair of headphones that are so effortless in every other way. They automatically pair with all of my Apple devices and switch between them depending on which device I'm actively using. The latency is good when watching YouTube or other content and they sound wonderful. The build quality is excellent and the engineering that went into the sound and wireless connectivity in this device must have been costly and difficult. Maybe I expect too much from headphones of this price range that feature all of the Apple niceties and annoyances, but they're priced incredibly high to ignore these issues.

I have Bose, eats and Apple AirPods. Was not expecting these to sway me but what a surprise. It’s like a slow kindle and then just like that, I’m addicted. No going back to the others. It only takes a day to get used to the holding case and then you’re happy to adapt for the protection. These are amazing. Soft on the ears the sounds tops and I’m able to sleep with the sleek design. Winner’

ok. I bought these and Sony Mx5's same day. These are heavier and much less comfortable. But they look beautiful and sound even better along with having top tier noise canceling. Very easy to use and pair with Apple devices. I got 3rd party pads to help with comfort but they really didn't work well. So I got used to them as is. I fly...a lot. Most flights are 6 hours or more so headphones are critical. These sound...amazing. So good. They are easy to use. They work well with spatial audio for shows and music. And it is very easy to toggle into transparency mode so you can hear people talking to you. The Bose QC45 and Sony Mx4's are much more comfortable but the noise cancelling is old technology and the sound quality isn't there. But both of those sound better than the Sony Mx5's. The Mx5 is an embarrassment to Sony and I would take these over the Sony Mx5 10 out of 10 times. I just wish they were more comfortable. I find the Airpod Pro 2's noise canceling to be on par with this and the sound quality is quite good for half the price. So that is another option if you arent sold on having over the ear headphones. My only real gripe is these won't connect to two devices simultaneously like Bose or Sony do. They do switch automatically...but sometimes they switch when I dont want them to. All in all...I basically recommend if you want top tier noise canceling and sound quality with solid build quality.
