Didn't love the price but I am so glad I talked myself into buying these. I had a pair of Beats but they would make my ears hurt after 10-15 minutes of wearing them because they pressed so tightly on my ears. Wearing masks made it even worse because the cord was behind my ear. The AirPods fit over the ear and are super comfortable even while wearing a mask for long periods of time. They also sound amazing, are really easy to use and switch easily between my iPhone, iPad and MacBook. The battery life isn't as good as the Beats but I always charge them at night and have had no battery issues. I'm very happy with my purchase!

Stellar noise cancellation; bass could be better

These are my newfound favorite headphones. The noise-cancelling tech is out of this world. For reference, I wore these while washing the dishes (pots and pans, no less). And while listening to music with noise cancellation on, I couldn't even hear the water running. When it's totally quiet (as in, no music playing), even with noise cancellation on, I can hear a little bit. It does sound muffled and very far away, but if someone is within arms reach and talking, there is definitely a murmur. That's why I knocked it down one star. ALSO - the bass isn't the *best*. I'm deaf in one ear and the bass in music really makes a difference for me. I was left wishing there was more. With all of this said, I also have a pair of studio beats and while those are very good too, these are way better regarding sound clarity, noise cancellation, and even comfortability because of the large size of the ear coverings. Overall, big fan.

Wonderful headphones that give a whole new dimension on the music. Listening with Apple's Spatial Audio sounds like I am in the middle of a concert. They are slightly heavy but are very comfortable to wear. They are a real dream!

    Better than Bose QC/700 Series.

I upgraded from Bose 700 ANC and this one has much better audio quality and fit. The youtube reviews saying it's another level is true but it's still expensive. As with any Apple products some negatives are no power button, and the cushions although comfy are $70 to replace. Also I noticed some condensation after 2-3 hrs of use, it's almost perfect.

This was a gift, and from what I heard l, they are a great addition to the apple products. They are comfortable, stylish and with a great audio quality. I think they are a bit pricey, but if you have the extra money, you should buy it.

By this point you know about the AirPods Max. Are they overprice? Yes, do they sound amazing? Also yes. I got these as an open box item but since I'm a TotalTech member I get 2 years of Apple Care. The price was too good to pass. I travel a lot and I have the AirPods Pro, I didn't think I would use these ones but I do. Obviously they sound better and the ANC (active noise cancelling) its a lot better too. The ANC comes very handing when flying. the battery last all day, Ive gotten over 20hrs of battery life during an international flight. If you have to eat soup for a month just to afford these then don't do it, but if you have the extra cash then go ahead they are worth it.

These things have been reviewed to death so I'll try to provide some unique info in my experience. If you're going to use these outside the house and they're going to travel in a bag, I'd recommend finding a 3rd party case for it. It might be my head shape and glasses, but I find I have to fiddle with them a bit to get a good seal and not get sound leak from the outside. If you want to use them in wired mode (eg if a device has bad or no bluetooth), it's an additional $35 cable which is pathetically thin. The clamp is a bit tight, so I often am only wearing them for like 2 hours at a time before taking a break Despite these few reservations, they are otherwise excellent. Sound is good, build is very satisfying, ability to do noise-cancelling and passthrough via a button is awesome. Built in volume control is nice to have and lets you make tiny adjustments. They connect up well to Windows via bluetooth, and the volume knob allows you to change the volume in Windows. Would buy again, but definitely wait for a sale as $100 off from MSRP isn't uncommon.

I have and have had numerous pairs of high quality headphones, from Bose to Audio Technica and Sennheiser. But the AirPod Max headphones are by far the best sounding and most comfortable pair I've ever had. The sound is true and there's a good mix of bass and treble. The over the ear fit is SO comfortable! I can wear these for a long time and not have any discomfort. It's like there not even there. Great build and product. The only 2 possible negatives are the case (it's weird, only covers part of them and looks like a bra!) and the price. Very expensive. But for really high end headphones that's what you're going to pay.

First I need to say, It looks absolutely aesthetically. The sound is amazing, but even more I love how it absorbs sounds and in noisy place I can stay concentrated just with my thoughts. I can’t stop using it and I don’t want. Fall in love with it!

I love the Airpods Max! We run a loud fan in the bedroom at night to help my husband sleep. My husband also snores. I have been trying all kinds of headphones and earbuds to cut out the fan noise so I could listen to Netflix on my iPad at night in the bed. I tried the Sony XM4 earbuds and headphones, the Bose Quiet Comfort earbuds and I had no such luck in cutting out the fan noise. I tried all those product for multiple nights in a row and it only cut it down to a irritating humming noise. The first night I tried the Airpods Max, it was so quiet even without noise like music playing. This is the best purchase I have made. It may be expensive but it is well worth it. These are a little heavy but I use them mainly in the bed so weight really doesn’t bother me.

Yep No regrets and I’d buy em again if I lost them :-) Best sounding ANC headphones on the market - my favorite cans are B&W ans Sennheiser (wired) and the APMs besting Sony B&W and Bose for best ANCs. From long term comfort, incredible soundstage and amazing instrument definition; from the decay of a piano key to the shimmer the high hat jazz splash - details are there. And the master tracks and lossless audio; amazing. Watching movies is another 10/10 for Apple. Seemingly below 20Hz with the boom you’d expect in a theater to the spatial audio supporting ATMOS, DTS & Dolby 5/7.1. All of which are supported fully only by iOS and Apple devices. I still love the sound matches up with the S21 but the ‘extras’; bells and whistles if you will, are Apple only. Price is justified.
