    Returned, Sony XM5 are superior

I basically have Apple everything, including a $20k Mac Pro. I really wanted to like the AirPods Max and there are some things I like about them. It’s cool how integrated they are into the Apple Ecosystem and how easy it was to fire them up. The sound is horrible for any music with climactic moments. They are fine for voice and some music genres, but they are nowhere near what people have praised them to be in all the reviews I watched before getting them. Within the first hour of receiving the AirPods Max, I played some of my favortie songs and the peak moments were just FLAT! My wife said she saw the disappointment on my face. I did some more research and decided to get the Sony XM5 and tested several songs, there literally is no comparison. The Sony XM5 beat them by a longshot. Several reviews said the Sony’s are a little better—wrong—there is a big gap. It’s simple, buy them both and test them yourself, you’ll return the AirPods Max just like i am doing.

Lots of other brands out there with just a good sound quality. But couldn’t get past the weight issue.

The sound was really good and so was the noise cancellation. Sadly had to return bc of the way the headphones hurt my head. After wearing for about an hour your head starts killing you and I developed a migraine bc of it. Plus it doesnt hold a charge very long.

I was hoping this headphone would be pretty close to black as the name as description suggestion, but it is more gray than black

I hate hate hate the fact that there is no turn-off button even though it has two working buttons. I could just shut it off and save battery but instead, it knows when its not in use and goes into a battery saving mode...like what? Other than that it fits ears comfortably and the noise cancellation is perfect.

If I could give these 0 stars I would. Dre Beats Studio or Sony WXH (however they are) are wayyyy better. These are nothing but things to feed the ego. Music quality is less than Dre Beats and if you get these to workout they’re too big and chunky and they will constantly fall off your head. I’m Mexican I have a large head and these things still fell off or kept falling down. Waste of money you might as well just burn $500 with a lighter

Not worth 500$ worth of just headphones. You can get 200 or less headphones and probably feel and have same specs

I bought this for Black Friday, it arrived, I opened it, I put on the headphones and they were probably some of the most uncomfortable headphones I’ve ever put on my head. I honestly did not care at all about the sound quality because pretty much all headphones like this have good sound quality what really matters is whether or not it actually feels good on your ears and on your head and this feels worse than something that I could get for like $25, absolutely not worth buying and I will be returning this to Best Buy later today. I feel like the kind of people that want to own these or just people who care more about being seen with an expensive Apple product than they do about whether or not the product itself is worth buying.

Crazy expensive, but if they were flawless I could have overlooked the price. Instead, they have little metal knobs at the top of the over ear piece that dig into my head. So uncomfortable that I had to return them

Bought these to really hone in on the Spatial Audio Apple has and the headphones + apple music really deliver an amazing listening experience. 10/10 worth it. The silver gets dirty fast, but are easy to clean!

The headphone fit my needs well. I am in the Apple ecosystem, so these headphones help maximize the sonic experience and utility. I don't know that I would choose them if I were not in the Apple ecosystem.

    Condensation Nightmare Wait for V2

Avoid these if you sweat, or intend to have long sessions with headphones as your primary source of audio. Condensation buildup in the earcups occur within 1-3 hours of use. Expect audio popping or loud static when and if the condensation gets inside the drivers. I'm from the South and I get that humidity is a thing here, but that excuse doesn't fly when the same thing happens in a climate controlled corporate office. A mostly all metal design plus a thin mesh earcup simply doesn't work. There's a reason why the big players in the industry aren't copying Apple's aluminum earcup design.
