FABULOUS choice! No background noise, easy set up and the battery lasts a long time.

This version of Apple’s iPods are extremely sensitive to sounds around when they are connected to your device and nothing is either playing in them like music or a telephone call. You can her minute sounds like people taking in the distance. But when the music plays or you pick up a phone call that is all you hear. The clarity is in match and the music sound so smooth you hear the lyrics so clearly

I originally purchased the 3rd generation AirPods but was not happy because they did not stay in my ear. I returned them and went with these. These AirPods have 3 different tips and they fit perfect, I don’t have to worry about them falling out while biking. Excellent sound quality and the noise cancellation is also nice and you can activate it, whenever you want. Worth the extra couple of dollars.

The ease of connectivity of Apple products that I already own and a sale are probably my main factors for purchase. The sound quality is Ok, not up to Sony Bose or Beats (also an apple product?) The spatial sound feature is a neat gimmick but not sure it adds much to general listening. The noise canceling is good as long as the eartips are making a good seal. Unfortunately the silicone tips are similar it a nonstick surface and any movement or chewing and they quickly work out and lose a good seal. So I guess I’ll have to pay for some aftermarket foam tips to get the best performance.

We purchased two sets. Mine didn't seem to work correctly and when I compared it to my wife's, I realize mine was defective. I made a quick exchange and the new ones work quite well. I don't expect them to work as well as over the ear, noise cancelling headphones but they work well enough. I am able to heart the sound clearly as the AirPods lower the jet engine sounds. The sound quality is excellent.
