Yes, new ones are coming. Yes, there are other brands that delivers a better sound. Now that been said, this AirPods are simply great! They are meant to be a good work horse (and it delivers!) which they can perform perfectly even with new models appearing on the scene. Specially if you have an iPhone, MacBook and/or iPad. They integrate seamlessly! Highly recommended and comfy!!!!

Don't get me wrong, these are very good, but in all honesty, I personally think that my Bose QuietComfort earbuds have better noise canceling capability. But my wife loves these and is happy with them.

Best Buy service was good during purchase. My only complaint is that it favors the iPhone over the Macbook. It has an auto switching feature which works well when audio is needed for the iPhone but it doesn't auto switch from the iPhone to the Macbook when the Macbook needs audio. However, that's minor inconvenience I'm willing to live with.
