I purchased Comply Foam Tips (25 dollars) which completely solved the problem. Now they stay in for hours without adjusting. As far as function, they work seamlessly with the iPhone Xs. The noise canceling is excellent as well as the function that allows outside noise in. Now to sound quality. They are balanced well once you go into the accessibility setting on the phone and tweak it to your liking. It would be awesome if apple came up with an equalizer app. These lack in the bass area. That being said, I also have Jaybird Vistas which have FAR superior sound with their equalizer app.
