Surprised by noise cancelling

I was really surprised when I first activated the noise cancelling. I bought this because I need to take planes often, and it almost totally cancelled out the loud noise, so that I could focus on listening to music and watching videos, Even without playing any sounds, it's really worked like earplugs.

AirPods Pro2 Ear buds

I haven’t really used the assisted hearing feature yet other than to turn it on for a few minutes. It was very similar to some hunting ear buds I have worn before.
