I was also hopeful that the noise cancelling features might be useful for air travel. I have a pair of Bose noise cancelling headphones that I love, but they take up a lot of room in my carry-on. The AirPods Pro 2 have exceeded my expectations in all respects. They stay in my ears, the sound quality is very good, and the noise cancelling is excellent. I have come to especially enjoy the transparency mode, where I can listen to audio and still hear what is going on around me and carry on a conversation. These get a lot of use every day, and the battery life is excellent. They have been especially useful for air travel, in that they take up almost no room, and provide great audio and excellent noise cancelling during flights. A postscript regarding my 4-star sound quality rating. I am a musician, and I do most of my critical listening on studio monitors and a large home sound system with superb speakers. I have never encountered an earbud that I would call "excellent". That being said, these are the best-sounding earbuds I have ever used.
