I upgraded and got the newest version. The sound is so crisp and clear. I can’t be without them.

Airpods Pro 2

Haven't tested it on airplane travel yet but will be taking a trip in a couple of months. That's the primary reason for getting these because I want the noise cancelling feature without using my regular bulky headphone.
