Also, I've been using AirPods since Gen2 and this new version is terrific! However, the left AirPod had a recurring noise every minute or so. Apple replaced it for me under AppleCare. Now the replacement is acting up in the same way though not as bad yet. Waiting until after the holiday crowds to take it back to the Apple Store.
