    Needed to upgrade from the Gen 1 series due to normal loss of battery life. I use these for the gym and for flights. In researching when the next or 3rd gen would be released, all signs pointed to no updates for 2023, and sadly, Apple released a Gen 2.1 of sorts with USB-C charging and compatibility for Apple Vision.
