Better sound quality, case ergonomics with the loop holes. Noise cancelling is so good that its worth it. What concerns me is being an owner of the previous version and paying $250 for them to not last two years without needing some type of repair from apple. I have had many bluetooth headphones over the years. Mostly from sony and some bose. None of which have actually failed me. They still work after 3-4 years of use. If you ask me how many pairs of apple and beats headphones have failed me after 12-18 months of use, i can tell you with confidence that its 100%. Not great.

Best Buy price matched and service is great as always.
