They changed the fit

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had quite a few (including replacements for lost Airpods) pairs of Airpods pros in the past and I run them into the ground with 6+ hours a day of usage. However, when my Pro 2s started to die, I bought these hoping to simply replace the old ones. Unfortunately, Apple decided to change the way these fit into your ears. The Pro 3s go WAY deeper into your ear canal - and this creates a lot more soreness/itchiness/discomfort while wearing them for extended periods. While I understand that a deeper fit can assist the ANC and make surroundings even quieter, I see the design change as an overall weakness. Apple should have kept the original comfortable fit and not used the deeper fit as a crutch. Bose and Samsung managed to do this, why can't Apple? I think Apple is losing their touch with these earbuds.

Good sound, bad fit

It was time to replace my gen2 pair. Bought these gen3 and was disappointed to learn the shape has changed. Unfortunately they just don’t fit the same. Less comfortable and they feel like they are falling out. I tried multiple silicone tips. I wish they didn’t change the shape!
