Hey hey So AirPods are AirPods but these don’t sound any better to be so much more expensive. The noise cancelling feature does work but it is deceptive in making you believe there is a depth to the sound when there isn’t. That coupled with the crackling you hear randomly. I hear it just when turning my head. Feels like a fly buzzing near your ear. Not okay. Also music with infused base - R&B with live instruments shake the tiny speakers. Yes they rattle like old plastic headphones. The battery life is shorter than the originals because of the noise cancelling, which means they are even less capable of lasting through a work day. Turn off noise cancelling and you might as well have the originals. The tips are cool, but they make me feel self conscious about my ears. Whenever I pull them out. The suction cups never wanna let go. Makes me feel super waxy and looks just messy and cumbersome. The last straw was the connectivity being just as bad as the originals. It drives me crazy to have them in my ears - have my phone ring - and they not be connected. This of course always happens when I’m driving, at work, or at any time where I needed the things to be seamlessly connected. Taking them out of the case does not turn them on always. I tried Powerbeats before I bought the air pods but I hadn’t tested the AirPods. I thought I couldn’t deal without noise cancelling, but the noise cancelling just isn’t helpful.
