I really love my first addition AirPods but found that they don't keep out much noise when flying or mowing the lawn. These new AirPods work great. So far I have used them when I am mowing and I cannot even hear the mower running. Switching back and forth from the noise cancelling and regular modes is very easy. It was a great purchase decision. I would recommend them.

Bought these not even being sure if I’d ever use them being that I work in a fast paced and incredibly loud environment, but to my surprise, I’ve used them nearly everyday. They’re extremely convenient when pairing with another Apple product such as my IPhone XS, and the noise cancellation blocks out so much, maybe a little too much..
