Have a the basic Airpods and wondered what the difference would be between the two. After losing the basic pair on a business trip I had them replaced with these. Have been pleasantly surprised that the Pro version is significantly than the previous basic airpods. Much more control of them in the phone settings and the noise cancellation is very good.

Great sound. Noise cancellation isn't up to the standard of my airline headset, but is adequate. Transparency mode is okay, but could either have adjustable volume for ambient sound or just bump it up a notch. The only real complaint is that, when used for a phone call, I hear my own voice blocked into the ear canal - not broadcast back, but just captured and not damped. I didn't have this with the standard AirPod. Good for when I want to shut out what's going on around me, but less so for when I want to make/take a call.

The noise canceling hype that was advertised is over stated. The sound was minimal as far as trying to tell the difference between noise cancellation and noise reduction. You’re supposed to squeeze and hold the pod to engage noise reduction and you can’t even tell the difference when you do that,I had to put it on the action bar to see the difference. However the fit is great. Reception is great. Battery life is good. But you’re not getting what you paid for $$$!

I needed a new set of earphones for working from home as well as working out at home with FB live classes. Couldn't decide between the different AirPod models and my family made the decision for me - AirPod Pro! DEFINITELY worth the extra money. The sound quality is perfect, and the features/functionality are easy to use, efficient, and on point! HIGHLY recommend.

Excellent ear buds but not perfect for running out of the box, in my opinion. I had to buy rubber tips to keep them in when I run and that was the missing link to making them perfect for all around mobile use. The battery life is good for short spurts but the charging case can help for those who need longer usage times.
