If you're looking to just listen to music or a few podcasts, the AirPods (2nd generation) is a decent choice for iPhone owners, since the connection never drops and total battery life is pretty good. You won't get great sound out of these earphones, but that's not the point. If you're willing to sacrifice comfort for convenience, then the second-generation AirPods makes sense. Otherwise, we implore you to look at other options

Good airpods for a teen! Sounds is good and so is fit.

These fit in the ear really well. Sound quality is outstanding. And the microphone for speaking is very clear. The only downside of these airpods is that if you are using them for video conference calls on your computer where you are speaking and listening, the battery life is only about 2.5 to 3 hours. But that does not take away from the amazing light weight and ease of use. When you open the case they sync with your phone. They are so small and lightweight that have several times forgotten that I had them in.

So, I already had a pair of airpods that were maybe 6 months old, but me being the Apple junkie that I am and having little self control when it comes to spending habits, I decided to order the new ones. They aren’t really much different, but what I have noticed is enough. The connectivity is faster and more reliable, which is saying a lot considering this was not an issue with the originals. The distance I can go away from my phone before there starts to be any break in the connection seems to be further than it was on the originals. And the biggest improvement that I’ve noticed: they’re noticeably louder. All in all, I would suggest them, that is, if you either don’t have AirPods at all OR if you’re not looking for anything crazy as far as advancements and don’t mind throwing the money out there.

We bought these for our two teenagers for Christmas. They are absolutely happy with the connectivity, the charge hold, and the sound quality.

The new AirPods are super easy to connect and have good sound. Battery life is excellent. Can wear them all day and still not need to recharge them.
