The AirTags work relatively well. The concept is that they will track using any nearby iPhone or Apple device that has bluetooth on and is transmitting an internet signal. I purchased them to put them in our luggage for a long flight. They worked relatively well, although each tag didn't always respond the same as the others despite the bags being relatively in the same location. They are a little overpriced as you are paying the Apple tax but they also take advantage of the largest pool of phones available so they are a little more reliable than Tile and other options. Overall recommended if you think you have a use for them.

Maybe AirTags might be great for tracking what address or building you left something in, but the experience is nothing short of hair-pulling frustration to find something misplaced within a house or a room. The alert sound is very short, and so you have to constantly press a button on another device to make the AirTag chime. Then, on top of that, the chime tone is a very unhelpful beep that naturally fades itself out. Loud, medium, soft. Loud, medium, soft. So you can't get a good sense of whether you're getting closer or further just by naturally listening and turning your head. If you think you might be getting close, too bad. It's time to divert your attention to have to press the button to make the chime sound again, because it plays for only a few seconds at a time. Very very ridiculous product.
