Underwhelming First Version

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As someone who is usually a first adopter for Apple products I was definitely underwhelmed with this first version of the AirTag. At first out of the box it worked as advertised upon syncing, but then the next week it no longer continued to work as well. I had hoped to use this on my dog`s collar to ensure she stayed in the yard when outside, but after that first day every time I opened the app it just stated “Connected. Signal is weak. Try moving to a different location.” to which moving did not assist in the issue. I attempted this over the course of two weeks with it working maybe 5% of the time to which I then had my wife sync the AirTag to her account and she received the same result each time over the course of a week as I did. After a month of trying and numerous troubleshooting I opted to just return the product and hope that the next version will work better.

I’m a little dissatisfied in it, but it’s still handy when I’m headed out the door and my keys aren’t in their home.
