Bought these to track luggage on an overseas flight. Been playing around with them for a while now & am really on the fence whether these are a complete waste of $ or not. If I have 1 in my bag, or on any item, & someone steals the bag…now they are traveling with my AirTag & my understood they will get a notification as such or that they are being tracked. At which point they can use their iPhone to pinpoint location of the airtag. Once they know where it’s hidden, couldn’t they just toss the thing & continue on their way with my bag? Seems adequate for tracking, just as long as the thing being tracked isn’t stolen. Help me out if I’m missing something here, please.
