Kind of reliable.

It said my luggage was still at the check in area instead of on the plane with me. Had me worried until a few minutes after landing at my connection airport when it updated to the airport I was at at that time. If the luggage hadn't made it I think I would have been able to track it but I'm not sure.

Works great, although connection issues at first.

It took over 25 attempts for my phone to connect to it. Not exaggerating. Called apple support and they weren't really able to come up with a solution to this. Out of nowhere, my latest attempt finally connected and it does work great. Tried it out and it works exactly like it is designed to do. I am sure that this issue is not common, but it does make me feel hesitant to get more of these if I am to experience the same connection issues.

Huge market over Tile for access, BT is slow.

I use it for a cross country runner and as iPhone has 50%ish of parents along the route it should update quicker. Sharing isn’t available yet so that’s a star loss. My spouse and I should both have access to location info for our child wearing the tag. Apple did include a flag for illegal tracking as an alert and I encourage other android OS user to scan and download any app that alerts you to a BT device that follows you.
