They don’t alert you right away when you’ve left items behind. My son happened to drop his wallet at the airport while waiting for his flight and wasn’t notified it fell out of his pocket till he landed… had he gotten a notification while on the jet bridge or even while In his seat he could have retrieved it. Luckily it was turned in and when he went to claim it he was able to turn the chirp on while his wallet was still in the airline safe. Battery life isn’t long… I bought this 4-pack of AirTags in August and it’s April and one of the tag’s battery is telling me it needs replaced. Hopefully the air tags 2 will be better.
