Good but pricey

The concept is that they will track using any nearby iPhone or Apple device that has bluetooth on and is transmitting an internet signal. I purchased them to put them in our luggage for a long flight. They worked relatively well, although each tag didn't always respond the same as the others despite the bags being relatively in the same location. They are a little overpriced as you are paying the Apple tax but they also take advantage of the largest pool of phones available so they are a little more reliable than Tile and other options. Overall recommended if you think you have a use for them.

My Apple air tag

It connects to your Bluetooth on your Apple phone. You can name what your Apple air tag is for when you connect it. It’s very cool. The only thing I wish it could do is adjust the volume so it can be louder. If you was to have it in your purse or in your jacket pocket it will be hard to hear the sound go off.
