Put in my golf bag when I flew and was able to ensure my clubs were following me. Only complaint is they aren’t waterproof.

Quality Air Tags

The only misleading thing about this product is that when they advertise it they show you being able to find it to the exact spot but it is more like gps and gets you to the area where the tag is.

Needs sharing functionality

For example if you had a dog and kept it on their collar and you wanted both you and your wife to be able to use Find My, it wouldn't work because only the account tied to the AirTag can see it. Something to think about if you want multiple people in your family to have access to a tag.
