HORRIBLE for close up finding

Owned for 10 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe AirTags might be great for tracking what address or building you left something in, but the experience is nothing short of hair-pulling frustration to find something misplaced within a house or a room. The alert sound is very short, and so you have to constantly press a button on another device to make the AirTag chime. Then, on top of that, the chime tone is a very unhelpful beep that naturally fades itself out. Loud, medium, soft. Loud, medium, soft. So you can't get a good sense of whether you're getting closer or further just by naturally listening and turning your head. If you think you might be getting close, too bad. It's time to divert your attention to have to press the button to make the chime sound again, because it plays for only a few seconds at a time. Very very ridiculous product.
