The process was easy, considering it was so close to Christmas. I placed ordered the air tags on Thursday morning and they were ready for pickup within 4 hours. I advised the store when I was outside and I had my airtags within minutes. The airtags are a God send. Ok, these things are great! Long battery life and the large find-me network Apple provides makes it superior to that of Samsungs or Tile. Personally I can’t keep enough of these little things around. Keys, backpacks, luggage, bikes (they make a water bottle cage mount for Air Tag), you name it. Whatever you keep track of, use this. I left my backpack at my mother in laws, 30 miles away. Guess what? It shows up on the map. My kid rides their bike, guess what, it shows up on the map and even shows it moving.

Bought these as gifts but also , in this date and age, it’s a plus when your kids think about safety and don’t mind you knowing where they are. This is a way to always have a ride home in case of emergency. I don’t care what time or don’t care to know why you need me, but if you do, you just have to say come and get me Mom and I’ll just be there. No questions asked.

Been using the airtags for almost 2 weeks and they seems to work really well. I was not a tile user so I cannot compare but I have put airtags in my backpack and on my keychain and have been able to locate the items. I do have an iPhone 12 so when in range I get a "gps" like experience to find the item. The range for this really depends on what's around it. Outside it can go pretty far, over 30 feet. Inside different obstacles can reduce this. I think what makes these a good lost item finder is just the amount of iOS devices out there and there's a good chance the airtag will get in range of one.
