The Apple air tag is somewhat useful, but I find that, at times, the information it provides seems to lag real time. That said, I am using it in an unconventional way to track our cats, who have a tendency to roam a distance. In certain cases, it does give a general idea of where the cat has been hours ago, but, in general, it cannot pinpoint exact current locations except to list the last address where the air tag picked up the cat's location. This could be a result of the cat roaming through fields, etc., where there is no iphone in the vicinity or at a location where the residents have phones other than iphones. It is, at least, helpful in giving a general idea of where the cat was or might be. Apple does not suggest that their air tags should be used to track pets, and it is not a GPS tracker; so, other than lagging real time a bit, it seems that it would be a good means of finding an inanimate object or something that is relatively close to an iphone, especially if the object is stationary. It is light weight and small, which makes it easy to use, and the battery life is supposed to be very good, unlike most of the GPS trackers. It also does not require a subscription service; so there are no out of pocket costs after the original purchase price. Overall, the Apple air tag seems to be a reasonably good and inexpensive means of locating missing items or providing some information relative to roaming pets if you understand the limitations on its ability to locate roaming animals.

We have a pre k grandchild who goes between school snd babysitters. These are in his insoles. The absolute easist way to keep track of a non verbal child between sitters , playground and school.

I personally dont use Apple products, but my bf does. He often loses his wallet and keys, so I purchased the Air Tag as a stocking stuffer for him. To my surprise he was really excited about getting one. Its worked great! He left his wallet in the car and via his iPhone he was notified it was left behind. No more wasted time searching for wallet/keys when we have places to be!

I like them because they're small like a 25 cent quarter size. Does everything the a gps tracking device is supposed to do. Only gripe for me is that it doesn't come with Keychain holder like the Samsung one does n u have to buy it separately so it costs more to own an airtag. Typical Apple making u pay more... So, I recently moved into a 3,000 sq ft home from a 600 sq ft apartment (and a 450 sq ft studio before that). Needless to say, my cat is having a field day with the space. I, personally, don't know where she is 75% of the time and as crazy as it sounds, it's nice to be able to easily track her with the AirTag. I live in a close-knit (in proximity) community, so I figured that if she were to go outside, I would be able to locate her pretty easily.
