If there is no cell phone in the immediate area you wont be able to find it. If you need something with a little more accuracy, i would go with a GPS tag with cell service..

This tags are great and very accurate when needing to find your lost item. Overall very happy with my purchase.

I got these before going on vacation and put one in our luggage, and one even on my son in case he runs off into a crowded place. This was the only store, Beat Buy that had these in stock even before the Apple stores.
