Used to find a pet?

If you are going into an area of low population density and you want to find your dog, for example, get a GPS tracker.

Barely better than Tile

I was very disappointed to learn there is no family sharing for the AirTags. This means if my wife takes my key and misplaces them she is unable to FindMy the AirTag. This also means if she has it more than 8-24 hours it will start to alert her that an AirTag is on her that isn't registered to her iTunes account. If I want to put an AirTag on my dog I'll need to put two or accept that only one of us can FindMy our dog. I was going to return the AirTags but Tile just got sold Life360 who's business model is to sell user data and location. That is a worse choice. I recommend anyone interested wait till Family Sharing is enabled before buying an AirTag.

Not happy with performance of updates

I understand the operating system, but there is NO REASON for these to not update for hours at a time, especially when in a city environment. I had two that would not update - one for over three hours, and one for an hour. This timeline makes these very un-usable.
