Very load to locate when it makes a sound. The metal gets easily scratch so maybe that can be improved by Apple but it does the job for locating what you need.

My chosen dog tags are Air Tags

I bought these to track my dogs. When I leave them from somewhere other than home it tells me I left something behind. Requires Bluetooth for tracking but works pretty good.

It makes things easier when you have a few things you have a hard time keeping up with. I am unsure as to why people are confusing the holder and the item. These are indeed sold separately. Again this is Apple $ lol.
