I don't use my home phone, so I use my iphone 5 with these earphones all the time, for phone calls and music while I'm running. I ran marathons using these earphones, and I don't have any complaints about them. The only issue is that they seem to not last more than a few months, but again, I use my earphones heavily. for $30, I still prefer to have these over any other earphones out there for my iphone.

You can Pause/Play, Rewind, Fast Forward, Skip Back, Skip Forward, Raise & Lower the Volume, access Siri, etc. They're also great for talking on the phone with the built in mic, which is what I use them for mostly. Sound quality for music listening is not as good as others I've tried, but they're good for combination phone/music listening.
