These headphones work about a solid month. Then noticed there was shortage somehow in the wire that caused the sound to go in and out. My original Apple headphones lasted over a year. Very disappointed

I have tested a bunch of the new sets of earbuds out there right now to see which ones, in my opinion, sound the best (while staying in my ear while running) considering the price. First, I bought the Motorola SD11 bluetooth that wrap around your head. They were great for running, but the bluetooth sound technology still isn't good enough yet, and they aren't worth $100. Then, I bought the UrBeats, and they wouldn't stay in my ear. They also didn't sound good enough to be $100...returned them. Next, I bought the PowerBeats hoping they would sound better than the UrBeats since they are more expensive. They did stay in my ear (I don't think they had a choice), but they don't sound good enough for $150...returned them. Finally, I tried the Bose MIE2 after too many people told me to try them. These sound awesome...way better than any of the beats...don't even waste your time. The Beats buds are cheap and sound like a $20 set of Philips. The Bose fit very comfortably in your ear with the silicon, and they sound like Bose. The Bose has great high sounds and clarity (like the Beats), but the Bose also has great bass sounds. The Beats "claim" to have great bass, but the don't I promise you. The Bose buds complete the great sound you want with the whole package. But this review isn't about the Bose set...this is about the Apple set. The Apple set sounds just like the Bose...for...wait for it...$30. Everything that I was looking for that the Bose has that the Beats didn't...the Apple Pods do as well for a fraction of the price. They feel great in your ear, and don't come out during a run. The one caveat to this review is that my first set of these that came with my iPhone5 had the right side go out way too soon. I knew I liked the sound of these originally, but I thought for sure these other expensive sets would have to be even better right? wrong. I put 2 stars for durability considering the lifespan of my first set, but I will change it depending on how this second set works out. If you want great earbuds that stay in your ear and have $150 dollar sound, then get these. If you want great sounding buds and you have $150 burning a hole in your pocket buy the Bose...and for the love...do not buy Beats buds. The Beats "real" over-ear phones are great...just not the buds.

Earbuds are great as long as they are working. Unfortunately, with daily use the life span is extremely short. However, I was able to exchange at the Apple Store under the 1 year warranty.

I felt like they were not worth the price. They did not stay in my ears any better than regular ear buds like they claimed. I don't mind the volume control on the unit, however it is a feautre I'm not into using.

I'm disappointed in product because I barely used within the last two weeks and there's been issues with product which I thought was my phone but not. I think I'm beyond the exchange time.

Don’t like how they feel in my ears . I’m sorry I didn’t buy another type. Should have gotten wireless

Must not be authentic Apple ear pods - had trouble with people hearing me and I sounded like I was in a tunnel. Will not buy again.

These are for my daughter and she loves them. They hurt my ears, so I don’t use them, but she loves them.

They did not last long I'll have a hard time trying to buy headphones again

This is the second set of ear pods that broke on me. It started to sound crackling for no apparent reason. Quality is NOT up to par for this Apple name brand ear pods.

We are not all created the same! Big ears. Small ears. Big holes. Small holes. And everything in between. The sound quality is ok. The fit is less than desirable

I love using my EarPods but they do not last. My last set the volume control stopped working shortly after I bought them. Trying to get to Apple is a major hassle.

I'm not sure what Apple has done different with the manufacturing of these ear pods but within a week there was a short. I will find another option. Will never purchase again!

my old style apple earphones just wore out from dailey use. Replaced them with these as the old style no longer available. I have small ears & these just don't fit correctly. Want to fall out etc.

These just work the best, period. Only issue is animals seem to love to eat cords so we buy often.

Had it for 3 weeks until the left ear bud started making weird static noises. It hasn't been anywhere else instead of my pocket so now I'm done with apple earphones. Thanks for nothing apple!

This my second purchase on the apple headphones and it was only a few week after I purchased them the right ear stops working. This has happened twice

Bought these to replace the original headphones, maybe its just me but these sound much better than the original.

Didn't like this. It never did work well and finally threw it out and got a headset. Not worth the money or gas

I mean it's apple. They. Come up with something better eachtime. These headphones are good but I'm all about the wireless now.
