Great sound, horrible durability

That pair worked for about six months, until the left earbud died completely. I bought a new pair off this site and this one lasted less than a month until it did the same thing. This is COMPLETELY without mistreatment of the headphones; I hadn't even so much as put the second pair in my pocket. The sound quality is great for an earbud, but if these things break every month I'm not going to make the mistake of buying another. On a related note, it's a shame almost all earbuds nowadays come with a silicone tip. I can't stand the feeling of those things and this is my only option with a decent sound quality that doesn't have a rubber nub.

Apple Earpods: My Thoughts
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the new Apple Earpods for a few weeks when I bought it with my new iPod Touch 5th gen. I've noticed that the sound quality has decreased since I had first got them. I was listening to them today whet i heard the "S's" sounded like "ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss." I was really counting on them to sound good. I was a little disappointed in Apple this time.
