I have owned several iPads and have also given them to my aging parents and they are so convenient and easy to use for email, movies, music streaming, watching live TV, and reading newpapers and magazines online. This is a basic model but does everything you really need for in home use. No need to pay up for the fancier Pro model. 32 GB of storage is more than enough to download several movies or TV series episodes to watch on the plane when traveling. Highly recommend.

I spent years trying to make cheap mini Android tablets work. I loved both versions of the Nexus 7 but Google killed them off. I tried others but the terrible update process and short shelf life of the devices eventually had me looking to Apple. I eventually bought an iPad Mini 2 and I instantly fell back in love with iOS. There is a reason iPad is the leader in tablet devices. It is so much better. I recently switched from Android to an iPhone 7 Plus and while I still liked my mini the screen size difference between that and the phone made it kind of silly to us both. Meanwhile I wanted more real estate for movies and for my daughter's school games. Enter the new 2017 iPad. A full sized tablet at a great price. I traded in my mini (Best Buy paid top dollar) and I am so glad I did. The new iPad is buttery smooth in performance, has a great screen, dual windows makes productivity a little easier and Touch ID is awesome. I have fully embraced the Apple ecosystem with the iPhone, Watch, desktop Mac and hopefully in the next few months will get a MacBook. Life in the Appleverse is awesome! Keychain makes my password management a breeze, iCloud Drive puts all my files where I can get to them. Sure I still use other services like Google Photos but that works across everything as well. Life is sweet in Appleville and I am glad I ditched Android. Sure the new iPad doesn't have some of the fit and finish of the iPad Air 2. If you own that tablet I wouldn't switch. If you are new to iPad or have a previous generation this is the device for you. The iPad keyboard would be nice but I have no use for the Apple pencil. So getting this over a Pro was an easy choice for me. With apps like duet display I can use this as a second laptop screen when out and about or just set it up and devote the tablet to specific work related tasks. Can this or a Pro replace a laptop? Not for me, not yet. I can say it is getting there and there are ways of using it to enhance what I do for work even though it cannot take over for a laptop or desktop. In short I say go out and grab this iPad, it is great!

Awesome tablet and right price. I’m always a fan of apple products. My wife love it. Light, sharp and fast.

This is my 2nd iPad. I bought the Ipad 4, 5 years ago and gave it to my wife when I bought this one. The old one still works great. I’m retired and I used it every day 4-5 hours until I was forced to recharge it. The new iPad doubled the battery life to 10+ hours, and the storage from 16GB to 32GB and cut the price in half, from $500, to $269! It’s much lighter to hold in one hand and never get tired. Need I say more?

It is light weight same size screen with narrower boarder. Faster speed and great price.

Its fast. Its got plenty of memory. Its lighter than previous versions. The battery seems to last 20 hrs before needing recharging which is a huge improvement over previous versions. The price is very affordable. Buy it you wont be disapointed.

Love my new iPad! It’s fast, Light, easy to set up and the perfect size!

I purchase two of these basic iPads for my mother and another family member. They were on sale, but would have been a good deal at the normal price of $329. They are plenty fast enough and have an enough memory for normal internet surfing. I would suggest purchasing a larger unit if it was for parents who might download a lot of Netflix or Prime Video for offline viewing for kids or themselves. 32GB holds a lot, but if you get carried away downloading videos a larger unit would be less painful. The speed, ease of use, and overall quality of the device make it a great value. I also love getting the additional rebate from Best Buy being an Elite Plus member. I personally use a iPad Pro with 256GB and a Logitech keyboard, but I edit movies and photos from DSLR and drones. This iPad is more than powerful enough for the average user.

Compared to previous iPads (Air) this is very fast, add a keyboard and you have a great laptop. Does it replace a laptop? If all you do is surf the internet, watch videos it is great. MS Word and Excel work fine on it and with so many apps in the store you should find just about anything your looking for. I also have a MS Surface 3 but use the iPad much more.

I recently traded my IPad Air 2 for this new generation IPad. I loved the Air 2 but was only 16 GB. Constantly having messages that memory was full. The new IPad has 32 GB memory which is great. I do notice that the processer is somewhat faster. The screen is bright and beautiful. AND the price was definitely a plus. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

This iPad is just right with 32GB, not to big not to small and very lightweight. Also was able to get on sale and the color I wanted. It is lightning fast and have loads of features. The picture and sound quality is amazing. This is my 4th iPad so as I upgrade I pass my old ones down to younger family members. It ‘s just like the iPad Air without the price.

This iPad is a great iPad for those looking to try out the new iPads. Plenty of storage for new users and battery life is wonderful. Screen is apples trademark Retina display that helps keep everything crisp and clear. Great color pallet when viewing images. Only knock is that there is only 2 core processors where the older (and similarly priced model has 3 processors). I notice it when using fiMovie to render a movie and do some edits. My older iPad Air 2 works much faster. Other than that, it’s a great iPad for those just getting into tablets. Inexpensive, quality worksmanship and light weight. Recommend a rugged case to protect it if you have clumsy hands or kids using it.

fast, light, portable, great screen, doesn't lag at all

This device is very easy to use. Battery life is excellent. Internet access is easy to obtain with this device. Great storage for photos and videos. I have had another IPad for several years so the new purchase is for my wife. Very good picture when watching TV from the device. Easy to use and ver useful as a social tool

This iPad is fast with the A9 chip. At 270.00 on sale it was a great price. People on eBay were charging more for a used iPad 4. Picture is crisp and the iPad is light. I use mine when I fry my inspire one and it transmits a great picture. If you are looking for a great product at a great price buy this iPad.

Upgraded from iPad 3 because of the 'Krack' threat. From my understanding at the time, iOS 11 was required to secure my device and Apple does not have a version for iPad 3. The new iPad is faster and seems to run just as smoothly as 3. Screens of both are retina. The new iPad is lighter.

This tablet is not only pretty but so fast. It is just the right size for everything, videos, email and reading. Since I will be using it for music and reading primarily the sound quality of music and ease of reading are most important. I'm sure I'll be using it for other things too.

Im glad that Apple made such affordable iPad! It is fast, has great screen and price less then $300 with taxes on this holidays. You dont have to spend a lot of money for the Pro version that is priced over $800! Its a great iPad for the price / quality!

This was an upgrade from gen 2. So we knew we would love it just because of the upgrades, more memory, speed, processors, camera, Much like the Iphone. We bought 2 and we are extremely pleased. Product. Great price, delivery. Exceeded our expectations.
