    It was a toss-up between an ipad & a laptop for a foreign student. The ipad won, as it was more compact & could easily access a foreign keyboard, unlike a laptop. And had a camera & there was a way to up-load & download data using a new kind of flash drive thingy

    Have had the IPad mini for 4 years and liked it. Needed to upgrade and opted for the larger IPad and I like it a lot. Got it for Christmas and due to virus only recently really got it set up. So far so good. No problems and like having larger screen for pictures.

    The new iPad is just that, an iPad. I own at least one of each iPad introduced, and can say that the only difference is that the new one comes with 32 GB's instead of 16. If you dont need a keyboard or a surface to write on, then the new iPad should be a good fit for you.

    I bought a re-furbished iPad via groupon, and the resolution was awful. I did however, like the machine. I returned the groupon on and bought the new one. Even six months later, it is still awesome. The clarity is great and the battery life is surprising long.
