I'm an Android guy, but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review....I gotta admit, purely as a media consumption device, the iPad is possibly the best tablet I've owned. To be entirely honest, I bought the lowest spec one I could, on sale, for testing purposes (I'm a developer), but I've found myself using it all the time. I read Marvel Unlimited comics, and watch Netflix on it -- the screen is incredibly vibrant and sharp. And it's so light! A welcome surprise. But again, proper context: I'm an Android guy with no interest in integrating with the Apple ecosystem, so it's usefulness outside of media consumption is limited for me. (Hence 4, and not 5 stars.) But if you're neutral, or already part of the Apple world, then chances are you already have one: and you know it's worth that extra star. :P
