The digital camera connection kit is outdated in that it only allows SD cards. Most of us use SDHC cards in our cameras. I missed this when I bought it or I would have left it on the shelf.

Works as designed. Imports photos. I'd like to see more flexibility in importing and organization, but it works as stated.

I thought that I was getting a good product since this was an actual Apple item but not. The first time I connected the SD card adapter it worked fine, but when I tried to use it again with new pics the ipad2 would not recognize it. I have tried it many times since and tried all of the fixes that I could find with no luck. I did find an app however for $2 that made it possible to transfer pics from my laptop to my ipad via wifi. Apple can have this back.

I know I'm doing this correctly, but when I insert the SD card into the device and insert the device in to either of my 2 iPad's (one is the original iPad & the other is the iPad2)... nothing. Now, I consider myself techno-savvy so I'm assuming the device is malfunctioning (so I gave 2 stars instead of 1). This one's going back & I'll try a new one.

Buyer beware - this product is ONLY useful to copy some data from a memory card to an iPad. If you take pictures with your iPad and want to copy data FROM the iPad to a memory card, you are out of luck! . Copy pictures/videos from memory card to iPad = OK Copy pictures/videos from iPad to memory card = CAN'T DO!!! . Why would anyone want to take pictures or videos off thier iPad, he asked sarcastically? If you want to do that, you need to connect to a computer or use the cloud or an app (drop-box) or some other wireless device, which isn't always convenient. This "camera connection kit" should be called a one-way card reader. If it was described as such, I'd still be $30 richer. . I contrast this to the SD card slot on the Android based Toshiba Thrive or the accessory for the Asus Transformer/Transformer Prime. Those devices can read and write to an SD card, meaning you can easily share files between the tablet and other devices.

Only fits one size SD card and its not MINE!!!! Needs more adapters

The item was not worth it. I forgot my cable for the camera and couldn't use the SSD adapter. Not sure if my Sony camera wasn't configured for the memory stick with the SSD adapter or not. I got frustrated and didn't bother. I'd think twice about purchasing this item.

I love the adapter I needed, but I think if you could buy the one you needed and not the one you don't it would have been better. Sell us what we need and not what we don't and you may have more sales!

It is not useful because you can only get the pics into it. You cannot load pics in iPad to computers. I said it is not useful because you can put pics into iPad by connecting iTunes.

Problem. Poor design on the card reader adapter. Will not fit iPad without removing protective casing. Apple needs to design the adapter plug the same as the power plug. So if you plan on putting the protective cover on your iPad remember this adapter is too big to plug in.

Pretty much useless. Plugged the unit into the iPad2, inserted an SD card... nothing. Inserted a different SD card (different size and brand), nothing. Made sure it was formatted as FAT32 and still nothing. Same results with the USB adapter. Plan to return for refund.

This is supposed to work on the original iPAD but I tried everything I could think of and checked forums on the Internet to no avail. I have friends with an iPAD 2 and will probably give it to one of them for Christmas if they can get it to work!

I am in South America on vacation, I bought the connection kit to download all my vacation photos. The connector for the SD card does not work. I am very disappointed . I am trying to find a USBcable to fit my camera,

This didn't work for me. I found out that the SDXC card types are not yet supported by Apple. I'm stuck with it until they upgrade their software.

Does not work--Best Buy keeks could not get it to work either. Spent 39.00 bucks for nothing. Will try again and see if I can get my money back

can,t open video from sony handycam. have to have it converted to mp-4 format no apps for converting video on ipad2.
