I love compact phones, fits pockets and doesn't hurt your neck when you wear it. 5 oz and powerful, too bad Apple missed opportunities to make all new models with same panel with 120Hz refresh rate and add power button with finger print biometric like new ipads. Overall it's an upgrade which we could call it 12s as it does come with better camera, cpu, screen, battery pack. And does it without changing the dimensions much.

Great hardware paired with uninspiring software.

I made the switch from a Google Pixel 5, after being [basically] a life-long Android user. I really like the iPhone 13 Mini itself, from a hardware perspective. However, I also feel like it's necessary to talk about the software considering it's what you'll be noticing and interacting with moreso than the specifics of the hardware [of the phone itself], if that makes sense. The Mini is more-or-less the perfect size. It's a small phone that you can easily put in your pocket and use with one hand, yet it has a relatively-large screen when you compare it to phones from 6+ years ago. The camera quality is just as good as the rest of the iPhone 13 line-up excluding the extra, third camera you get on the Pro models. The green finish, by the way, has to be one of the nicest colors I've seen on a phone. It looks more expensive than it is. Now that we've gotten the niceties out of the way, let's talk about why I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5. It's a great phone, but iOS to me is just 'good.' It's not very inspiring. As a lifelong Android user, I always heard people tell me they liked iPhones because they were easy to use. Now that I've switched to one, myself, I have to say that Android is actually easier to use. It's more intuitive, and functions are laid out in a much cleaner fashion. Take the 'Night Light' or 'Night Filter' (blue light filter) function that gives your screen a yellow-ish hue, which makes it easier on your eyes at night. To enable the night filter function on an iPhone, you have to swipe down from the top of the phone to access the control panel/command center. However, you have to know to swipe down from the top RIGHT, specifically. If you swipe from the top LEFT, you get a different panel. Once you've pulled up the command center, you have to know to tap-and-hold on the screen brightness slider. Doing so opens up another panel that's like a 'Brightness Settings' page. On that page, there's a toggle on the bottom for the Night Filter. This isn't very intuitive to me. You may never know the command center exists unless you know to swipe down from the top right of the phone. Furthermore, once you're on the command center, there is nothing that tells you that you can tap-and-hold the brightness slider to access additional settings. You would genuinely never know unless someone told you, you read it somewhere, or you did it accidentally. On Android, you swipe down anywhere from the top to access the settings. On the settings panel, you can swipe left or right to navigate between 'quick settings' buttons. You just swipe until you see Night Light and toggle it on/off. Admittedly Android 12 has made this slightly more difficult as you have to swipe down twice to access 'additional' settings, but you can actually adjust which options are displayed for you after the first swipe. Even beyond that, Pixel phones actually have fantastic tutorials/tips that are baked into the phone. Notifications on iPhone just feel extremely outdated compared to Android phones. Interacting with notifications isn't very fluid. On Android, you can interact with quite a lot of notifications right on the Notifications window, without ever accessing the respective apps. You can do some of this on iPhone but for the most part, you'll have to open the apps themselves. I do like how the iPhone has a physical, hardware mute switch. I'm surprised that OnePlus is the only Android manufacturer that has copied this feature. It should be a staple on every phone. Overall, I quite like the Mini itself, but I feel like iPhone and iOS is rather uninspiring. I switched to iPhone because my Pixel 5 was giving me quite a lot of problems related to calling (on T-Mobile, it would just randomly drop calls, or I wouldn't hear the other person unless I turned off Wi-Fi). Google also didn't care to fix many of the issues I had, and I felt Apple was at least more reliable in this regard considering how many people owned iPhones. Thus, I do appreciate the stability of iPhones. Most people do not need the Pro-series iPhones. I highly doubt most of the people who have iPhone Pros have ever used the telephoto camera, rather than just the standard, default wide-angle lens. If you're in the market for a new iPhone, I can happily suggest the Mini. It's heavily rumored that the Mini phones will be discontinued in the Fall of 2022 (when the iPhone 14 line-up is announced), likely due to poor sales. Do yourself a favor and buy this smaller phone. You save money, but you'll also save yourself some trouble once you realize you really don't need that bigger screen. This one - and this phone in general - is big enough.

I traded in an IPhone 12 mini for this device. Nothing wrong with the 12 mini but I got a good trade in offer with Best Buy. This device is slightly thicker and heavier than the 12 mini but it is well worth the trade off for a bigger battery. The size is perfect in my opinion. The phone just disappears in my pocket. I find myself thinking I forgot my phone at time. I hate feeling like I am carrying around a brick in my pocket lol I would not consider myself a heavy user (average 3.75 hrs of screen on time per day). I am left with plenty of battery life at the end of the day. Camera is great. No complaints there. Screen is great. Really no complaints at all. Just buy it if you are thinking about getting this phone. You won’t regret it. Great product.

The mini form factor is my favorite so far. I love the portability, performance, and battery life. It easily fits in pockets and is very light weight to carry. I’m very glad Apple tends to support phones for 5+ years, as I will be hanging on to this phone for a long time if the rumors that Apple will no longer offer a mini phone price to be true.

    The Last Reasonably-Sized High-End Phone

Amongst modern phones, I really have nothing but good things to say about this phone. Apple's "mini" line will always be special for offering top-tier specs in a not-ridiculously sized case, and the 13 mini offers nothing but very welcomed improvements from last year's model. The screen size is more than big enough for anything I would ever use a phone for and battery life is perfectly reasonable given the physical limitations at play. Base storage is very reasonable now and this green is easily the most pleasant shade Apple has ever offered. This is the only phone I would consider and it seems that, while niche, the vast majority of those who try it, adore it. If you're considering it, but are hesitant, you should really give it try because you'll likely find that it is actually very well-suited to its use case.

Best Compact Phone On the Market

So I actually flip-flop between Apple and Android devices quite often, and I may not be the biggest fan of iOS, but honestly, the mini is the best iPhone I've ever used! I really don't like the recent trend of all phones having massive 6"+ screens ...I wanted something that is easily used in a single hand (HTC One M7 was the perfect size!). The 13 mini finally convinced me to jump back into iOS after a few years of OnePlus phones. I was already intrigued by the iPhone 12 mini, but stayed away due to its poor battery-life - but the new 13 mini with its updated processor and larger battery is able to give me 7-8 hours of screen time per charge! Not sure what else to add that isn't typical of all other iPhones - great video quality, great camera, quick and speedy, great software update support... if you want the latest and greatest in a small form-factor without compromises, there really isn't anything in the Android world to compete right now - grab the 13 Mini

After 12 years of only using Android phones, the janky software and infrequent security updates finally made me switch to the iPhone 13 mini…and I’m glad I did. I definitely miss the google assistant and overall Google integration of android, but the complete Apple package and ecosystem is winning me over. The size of the iPhone 13 mini was the main draw since most other phones are way too big for practical everyday life… especially if you’re trying to wrangle a toddler. iMessage is nice if your whole family/ circle is on it. I had AirPods from before and now I see how seamless they can work with an iPhone compared to android Bluetooth woes. The iPhone 13 mini isn’t perfect and there are some quirks in iOS.., but unfortunately I’m realizing that a lot of apps and services in America are centered around iPhone and neglect android.

Perfect Upgrade from iPhone SE (1st Generation)

Upgraded from iPhone SE (1st Gen). Thank you Apple for making a small iPhone again! I almost got the 12 mini, but waited until 5G was available in my area. Worth the wait and so nice to have a modern phone with all the frills of the larger 13, but in a smaller package. With the edge to edge screen display, my display screen in actually larger than my friend's iPhone 8! The 13 mini is only slightly larger than my old trusty SE and I believe this was necessary because of the 5G antenna. I hope Apple continues making phones this size as I want a phone, not a tablet!

Great phone overall. Upgraded most important thing: Battery. iPhone 12 mini would die by afternoon so for this phone to go into evening, is a huge difference. Camera quality is great, but in good lighting, not too much of a difference from previous generation. Overall great value Pros: Brighter display Double storage for same price Better camera in lower light Battery much improved Cons: USB-C would be better than Lightning

I really like the small size, everything is good but the battery life could use some improvement. Unfortunately small size comes at a cost. So you have to be a bit more careful with the power management and your usage for the phone to last a full day.

I really love this blue colour. The 13 mini is perfect size for me as i am mail into one hand typing. Best Buy gave a good trade in value for my iPhone 7. Great performance by 13 mini. I can see clear difference and camera is also very good. Front can should be as better as reader cam.
