Bad purchase. I am returning mine and moving to a droid phone. You cannot get a data connection when you are on the phone. The older versions could do this. How can they let technology go backwards. Very disappointed. Also I drop more calls now that I have the iPhone 5. The iPhone 3S was a better product.

This Phone is Excellent.. for those who research.

To start off I have owned apple product for the last couple years that I bought. First was it the iPod touch 2, then iPhone 4, and Macbook pro. Everything besides the pro was great priced even though it’s an excellent computer. After Steve jobs past away it seemed apple just started going down hill and started to hate the company. Charging big bucks on service, repair, and accessories. As I approached the end of my 2-year contract with Verizon I was set on going droid. So after all was said and done I bought the Droid DNA. The phone was great but for my job and use wise I was averaging 6-hour battery. I did research and nothing came up except things like turning off data and that would make the phone pointless of having. I took advantage of the 15 day trial with it and took is back 4 days later. I thought of another droid but nothing seemed great to me. The razor Maxx HD has a great battery but that’s all that seemed great after playing with a co-workers. I ended up breaking and bought the iPhone 5 and needless to say was SURPISED. The phone ran great, did some research and got the battery to stay on for a day and six hours and usage of about 9 hours. That’s the best battery I have used in awhile. Overpriced? Accessories- yes Phone- no A smartphone is of Corse going to be high priced. If you ever look at flip phone with out the contract there upwards of 200 bucks! Every phones going to be expensive and its just how the market is. Screen too small? Well unless your use to hold a mini iPad the screen is a well size. I will admit the DNA 4.5 screen was great but overall feel was just right especially being in your pocket. Needless to say this phone is very good but there are things you must do in order for it to be great, especially the battery. When you first get the phone make sure to fully charger with out unplugging! After its charged wait till about 50% and then go to settings > General > Reset. Here you will want to tap Reset all Settings. Things like wallpapers and wifi password will be erased. BUT your battery will be so much better. Link for more info - http://www.smh.com.au/digital-life/mobiles/fixing-iphone-5s-battery-and-data-drain-bugs-20121002-26x8n.html Overall the phone is great. I’m still not big fan of apple anymore but the iPhone 5 really comes through. Sorry about the long review but its just my opinion. App to get - Google maps sense apples is just horrible.

The Iphone 5 is a very user friendly smartphone. Apple continues to deliver in producing the best smart phones on the market. With a 4 inch retina display iphone users have a big display to watch videos, text, and browse the web. Users will also be able to take high quality pictures from the convenience of their phone. A few downfalls of the Iphone 5 are the battery life and the IOS 7 software. The battery life could definitely be better but I still would put it ahead of most smart phone batteries. IOS 7 users have also been noticing a few glitches and bugs but expect Apple to produce a fix to help it run smoothly soon.

I was holding out for the 5s to be released later this year, but my 4s received some water damage. All of the factors that impressed me with the 4s still impress me with the 5. This phone is the perfect size for me and fits well in the hand. The screen is just the right size. Pictures and video are high quality. The phone has a great design and form factor. My only complaint would be the lack of NFC.

I traded in the RAZR M for the iPhone 5. I'm not tied down to any OS platform and have switched among Android, Windows and iOS handsets. For those who already have a 4S, you can probably pass up on the 5 as it really offers no large benefit in performance from day to day usage, unless you have to have LTE data connectivity. The screen is physically bigger and still an excellent asset for the iPhone, but quality is more or less the same as the 4/4S since the pixel density is still the same; the change in aspect ratio offers benefits for those who will see a few extra lines in the browser or emails. I haven't ran into any of the issues reported by other iPhone 5 users such as the scratched aluminum frame or the odd ball issues with the new Maps application, but the battery life has taken a rather large hit when LTE is enabled; I've had the phone go from full charge to 67% in five hours, whereas the 4S would still be at 85-90% with the same usage scenario. Cellular signal is also still inferior to some of the other handsets I've had; I've never dropped a call with my Motorola RAZR M or Galaxy S 3, but I've dropped two calls already in the last five days of ownership on the iPhone 5. Signal and voice quality is fine when the phone gets excellent signal, but it seems like it doesn't perform as well in less than ideal scenarios. For those with Verizon, you may want to look at the Galaxy S III if you like PC-like hardware specifications in a phone, or the Motorola Razr M for those who prefer a more modest or compact device. Not sure if I will keep this phone or use it to trade for a Windows Phone 8 device in November. The much acclaimed A6 Processor in the iPhone 5 looks like a real winner, but there are not any apps or games right now that takes advantage of it to justify an upgrade over the 4S. Original 4 or older iPhone owners that loves the Apple platform, this is definitely your worthwhile upgrade.

Not sure why the Droid lover has to rate the iphone bad, problem with the droid is they release a new one every week, Ive had my iphone for almost 2 years now and have not had a single problem with it, once i switched from a droid that is loaded down with verizon junk i found that the iphone is the best you can buy for a phone, its easy to use, great features, has 4g now and of course the amazing sensitive HD screen, motorola has to release at least 10 phones before apple releases their next iphone, tells you who is ahead of the game in the phone business. Apple for the WIN!!!

If you're using a smartphone for the first time, you'll love this phone. Those who have used Iphones will like it as well. Those of you coming from Android or even Blackberry would likely find this lacking in a lot of very basic and logical features that you now take as a matter of course. Like: • No blinking LED for notifications - those of us who have gotten used to keeping the phone silent and knowing we have messages waiting by the blinking LED - no ability to do this • Notifications ring in ear while on phone - you'll be in the middle of a call, and suddenly a text will come in and your eardrum will burst because the notification goes full on through the earpiece. Not only will the damage hurt, but you'll miss what your caller is saying if they happen to be the one speaking when it comes through. You can flick the switch to "silent" while on a call and avoid this, but who wants to have to do that every time a call comes in? • No file manager/sd card - a well-known issue, but using it for the first time (or rather not having it available to use) is very annoying • Can't email files - Apple made a big deal about the ability to email pictures from an email draft, but that's all you can email. If you're a business user like me, and you email Office docs and/or PDF files, you're out of luck. • No toggles for Bluetooth or wifi - it's the long way or the highway my friend! • No envelope for text messages - related somewhat to the blinking LED. If you've got messages waiting, you won't know unless you are on the home screen which has the icon for your email/text program - unless you keep those particular icons on the dock. • Can't talk and surf - a Verizon issue (I think Sprint too) but this is annoying - I've spent the last year-plus talking on Bluetooth or speaker and surfing the web while doing so, now I can't because the phone doesn't haef a second radio??? • No user dictionary - those of us who use Android and add words to our dictionaries in order to have them be available while typing are out of luck. You can add some words in the background (in settings) but unlike Android, you don't have the option to show a bunch of words as you type. • No Swype - another thing I knew going in but I underestimated how annoying it was going to be to have to type every letter again and take 3x as long to send a message as I was used to. Battery life isn't all that great, not horrible but coming from a Razr Maxx, this thing is pretty short. All in all, a pretty good phone but not very comprehensive. You'll get more features out of Android, but again, if you are new to smartphones or coming from an earlier Iphone, have at it. You'll love it.

Got this phone back in October and I love it. Had the 4S, and that was stolen, so I got stuck with an Android phone and was so happy to be able to get this phone. I don't care about all of the new specs and the size of all the new android phone, simple fact for me is iOS ALWAYS runs smoother. Battery last all day, which I can't say I've ever experienced with any of my previous three androids. Always using it for pictures and videos which look great! The design is super sleek and not at all cheap looking. Couldn't be happier.

I really like this phone!! I had an android prior to this and got so tired of force close. This phone feels great in my hand, has quick response to the touch, and crystal clear display. Verizon's LTE is lightening fast! Great camera for still pictures and hd video. Love the sound quality from the speakers and the ear buds. Battery life is good if you turn cellular off when not using. I had a great experience purchasing the phone and service from my local Best Buy store. I will definitely purchase Apple from here on out. Awesome phone!

I had an Android and got fed up with the software glitches and poor battery life. Phone was 2 years old and I know current Androids are better. I decided to get the iPhone and I am glad I did. The quality is excellent both in the materials used in construction and the software. Everything works the way it is supposed to. The screen sharpness is amazing and makes it easy to read. The battery life is excellent. I go a whole day before I need to charge the phone in the evening.Call quality is clear. Wifi works well at home and on the road when available. The mail app is easy to setup and use. Browsing in Safari works fine. App Store works well and is easy to navigate. Texting works fine. The iOS keyboard works much better for me than typing on Android. I make fewer typos. Attaching pictures is easy. The camera takes amazing pictures. Getting the pictures onto the computer is automatic using Apple's Photo Stream. Videos are also high quality. I had no trouble connecting a Bluetooth headset and everything works the way it should. I have used Siri a few times and it does a good job finding restaurants, stores etc. I downloaded google maps and I use both it and the Apple navigation App. The turn by turn navigation is a clever feature. I am very satisfied with the phone. Everything just works and I am not wasting my time trying to figure out how to get something working as I did on Android. The screen could be a bit bigger and I assume Apple will eventually head in that direction to be more competitive with Android.

Got the new iPhone 5 and switched from Sprint to Verizon in the process. The call quality and signal reception is much better on Verizon, and Siri actually responds instead of timing out all the time on Sprint. Phone-wise, it is noticeably lighter than the 4S, which is nice. Screen size is also an improvement. Very nice phone.

I love my iPhone 5! It is super fast and the display is amazing. I have had droids as well as previous iPhones and I like both platforms. The newer droids are too big for my taste. The iPhone 5 feels just right. Good size screen while still being comfortable in my hand.

I've had multiple Black Berries and Android phones and the Apple iPhone 5 outshines them all. I had to carry my charger with me everyone with Android phones. By lunch time phone was done below 50%. I am on the phone 2 to 3 hours a day plus e-mails and surfing the net and only ONCE in four months did iPhone 5 battery die before 5:00 PM. It's normally 50% by 10:00 PM at night. The Android OS is just a memory hog. For battery life alone, it is worth it. Don't mess around with anything else.

The new iPhone 5 is an awesome smartphone that offers great quality. You appreciate the technology, fluidity, and integration of the product when you "HAVE ONE." Of course, the haters are going to speak out against the iPhone 5 knowing good and well they are only listening to the critics who actually "Have One." Yes, Apple will need to improve on the Maps, Passport feature, and other areas that fell short upon initial release, but what product doesn't? For those who are genuine about evaluating the smartphone, give it a try first then decide. Don't settle for what you hear from the haters, because you can give them 5 brand new iPhone's for free, and guess what, their still gonna hate!

I was skeptical about buying when reading the reviews. But I went ahead and bought the iPhone 5. I switch from the HTC 4g LTE EVO (Sprint) to Verizon. What a night and day difference! The battery life will last 12 hours with moderate use. 8 hours if using it a lot. Charges fast. Very awesome phone. Huge step up from the android. Takes patience to learn and get use to, but a huge advancement! Great phone apple! Camera is awesome, good speakers, and unless your watching videos and constantly downloading or surfing the battery is great. Compared to the 4 and 4s!!

I purchased this phone around a week ago. Excellent battery life. Camera is fantastic for a phone. If you own a iPod touch its very ez to use. Just like the Touch only with a phone. This is my first cell phone purchase since I owned a NEXTEL years ago. Calling area coverage is very good. I haven't lost a signal as of this writing. Very fast Internet connectivity and usage. I purchased the Otter Defender case. I'm a Cement Mixer driver and it protects the phone great. I'm very happy with both purchases.
