Verizon continues to disappoint with no data during a call. Will be going back to AT&T for the real iPhone experience.

I have been in the android camp since my first Droid 2. Since then I have owned 3 different android phones from differnt companies (HTC, Motorola, and Samsung). I have lived through the constant annoyances of haveing to take apart the phone in order to take the battery out to reset it........constantly. Had the probalem with EVERY android phone with HTC being the absolute worst of the bunch. I also had to do deal with viruses from various apps I downloaded. My list of gripes go on and on. Any real android user if honest with themselvs will tell you the same. I kept telling myself it was worth it, that there was way more I could do with it and I always looked as Apple users like there were a bunch of weirdos standing in line to get a phone.......a phone of all things, I mean it was substandard to what I had .........right. If I only knew what a know now, I would have jumped ship a loooooong time ago (Still didn't stand in line though). First of all the sheer beauty of this device is stunning. Its light, thin, and just feels like a well pu together phone. It really is a shame to have to put it in a case though, but I'm not stupid it has to be done. The set up with insainly easy to do and I did it myself. It was intuative and I it almost felt like I have been using iphones forever. The screen is amazing. The color and detail of the pictures that I have taken with it our better than any other phone I have had. Even pictures downloaded from my HTC Resound look better that they did on that phone. The fingerprint scanner works like a charm. As you use the phone more and more to do things is asks you if you want to use the scanner to serve as a password, which is great when making purchases at the App store and Itunes, its all just a finger print away. This is by far my favorite feature so far. Just looking at all things I can get in the app store, and I can see just how much these phones can really do. Call quality is awsome. Its crystal clear and I have had no dropped calls. Also I am receiving ALL of my calls unlike android phones which routenly missed calls and when I say miss I mean like the call was never made. The only thing that might be construed as not the greatest is the battery life. Its getts me through the day, but thats about it. But it is still way better than andoid phone which would get me through half the day. You will not go wrong with this phone. If you are contemplating between another android phone........DON'T. Make the jump you will be glad you did. Other iphone users, time to upgrade you will love it.

This phone is difficult for texting since the keys are too sensitive and the board is too small. If you do not use the various apps available there are phones far more user friendly.

    Great Upgrade

I upgraded from the iPhone 4s because I needed more memory. There was nothing wrong with my 16gb 4s, but going up to the 32gb 5s was a great choice. The upgrade changes are subtle for me since I don't really do anything complicated with smart phones. Features I find great about the phone are the bluetooth link up to wireless speakers in my home, the automatic wireless network connection to my home router, and battery life is decent. One great improvement I really like is the higher quality camera on the front. It works great for taking group photos when no one is around to take one for you or if you don't want anyone using your phone. Generally, I use my iPhone 5s for email, keeping notes, appointment date reminders, social networking and occasional sport news tracking. I've never used the face-to-face option, but my fellow iPhone users say it works great. All in all, I am very satisfied with this phone.

I love my iPhone. I have had it for over a year. I would recommend getting a phone with the largest amount of memory you can.

Bottom line: The iPhone 5s is a very good phone. My family all used the iPhone 4s for two years. When our upgrade opportunity came up I decided to get the 5s, which I'd had my eye on for several months. Then my wife and daughter decided they both wanted a 5s, so we all upgraded together. We have not been disappointed. One of the first things we noticed was the improved sound quality of the phone call. The first time I called my wife on speakerphone she said the sound was so good she couldn't tell. The camera is light-years better than the 4s camera – there are two flashes, one tinted a warmer hue which solves the problem of overexposure on indoor shots. Low-light shots without flash are also much improved. Panorama shots work very well. Video features auto-stabilization (finally!) and a slow-motion mode that, while I wouldn't use it a lot, is pretty cool. The speed of the LTE (4G) cellular data network is amazing, feels like being on a fast WiFi, and makes 3G feel like dialup. (The phone still picks up 3G if 4G is unavailable.) The gold finish on the edges and rear is gorgeous, so you will probably want to use a transparent phone case to ensure it can be seen. The fingerprint recognition feature on the "home" button allows you to keep the phone secure while eliminating the need to type in a passcode to unlock the phone every time. You can "teach" the phone to recognize any of your fingerprints; so far I have "taught" it my thumb and index finger on each hand. We all love the 5s and agree that regardless of whether the rumored larger iPhone 6 comes out this fall, the 5s is all the phone we need and should be for some time. (Note that we do all have iPads, so we have no need for a "phablet" or phone-tablet hybrid.) While the 5s is generally more expensive than comparable models, the quality of the product is hard to beat, and Android has not yet matched the precision of the Apple Retina display or the smoothness of iOS 7 running on the A7 chip. (We have several Apple products in the house and have not been disappointed with any.) Note that our carrier, Verizon, has a phone recycling program that awarded us sizable credits for our old 4s phones, making our new 5s phones much more affordable.

I absolutely love this iphone, it's my first smartphone ever and so the fact that it was so easy to use was just too cool.i use it for work, school, and fun. The fact that it keeps everything together in one place is the best. i love using the calendar, calculator, siri ect. P.S. Take advantage of the camera! if it's one thing that you'll love it's the camera.

I went from a 4s and now have a 5s. Glad I waited, much faster, it is bigger but not notably. It's much lighter. The leather cases are terrible.

I've been an iphone user since the 3G model. After having my 4S for 2 years I thought I might give the Samsung Galaxy S4 a try. I didn't even keep that phone a week. While it had a few nice features (removable memory, big screen), it felt cheap (made of plastic) and the android operating system just isn't as good as ios. Apple's products IMHO are far superior in build quality, style, and usability. The fingerprint sensor works great and you can now avoid putting in a passcode every time you want to use your phone.
