I resisted getting a smart phone, since they first came out. I was happy with my cheap junk flip phone for many years. But things do eventually change, even for me. A phone is after all a phone, right? You use it to talk to people, right? If you want to do something more, you use another type of device, right? Wrong! My opinion has quickly changed. An iPhone is the way to go! I still prefer my big camera to take pictures. I still prefer my computer to browse the web, or for emails. I still prefer my iPad for reading books and watching videos. But it can be a real hassle carrying all those things with me, and many times I don't. I miss out on things, because I don't have what I need with me when the moment arises. Not any more. I have a usable substitute that fits easily in my pocket. It works the way I'm used to. What forced the change was a friend insisted on texting me. My old flip phone could text, but it was incredibly difficult and painful. I had to do something. I finally decided to step up to a smart phone. The keyboard is a little cramped for my big fingers, but it was easy enough to get used to. And if it's a really long text, I can always turn to my Apple wireless keyboard. Since I'm an Apple lover (yes, there is such a thing), I decided to spend a few dollars more on an Apple iPhone instead of a much cheaper android based device. I'm very glad I did. It functions identically to my other Apple devices, so there was virtually no learning curve. The iPhone functions just like the iPad and iPods I already own. It also integrates perfectly with my computer. The apps (Contacts, Calendar, Notes, etc.), which I relied on heavily on my computers, linked right up with my new iPhone. There was no tedious transferring of data, or configuring I had to do. It automatically updates among all my devices, I have to do nothing to stay current. It was and is seamless! I chose the iPhone 6s Plus because of the larger screen. I'm getting older, and my eyes aren't as good as they used to be. The larger screen does help. Also, the screen is bright and vibrant, Apple's Retna technology does make a difference. It's a pleasure to look at. Functionally, I have no complaints about my iPhone. It does what I need it to do, and a whole lot more. While I still prefer my larger semi-pro Canon camera, to take pictures, the iPhone does a surprisingly good job taking pictures as well! It won't replace my Canon for serious photography, it is perfect to replace a point-and-shoot camera. I still prefer my iPad for reading and watching videos, but sometimes I don't have it with me. In those cases, when I have a few minutes to waste, the iPhone fills in nicely. For me, the iPhone fits into my technology world perfectly. I wonder why I took so long to take the leap. Now I'm very glad I did. I wouldn't turn back, no matter what! Also, today, I picked up an Apple Watch to go with my iPhone. WHAT A GREAT COMBINATION!
